The very definition is coming back to life from being dead.

So I don't see a problem here.

They brought him back to life and took him back.

So, none of what you have posted is intended as on topic because Jesus.

Why are you complaining then? You have nothing to say regrding the topic?

Where have I or anyone else said that religion is going away? Is that a joke as well?

Dude, are you sure I'm the one with a reading comprehension problem there?

Why did you try to cover 15 posts in one? Again I will take it that nobody cares about the topic at hand...Nope just my beliefs, do you want me to turn you Christian or something? I would be glad to offer you my experiences and why I have my opinion but I don't share that on here because I am not a bible thumper, church attendee, etc....I believe in Jesus and have read some of the bible but am by no means an expert...That's why I don't debate this in detail, I am not the one who should be representing that conversation...There are many others on this site that know waaaaay more than me...

Just remember, faith is based on YOU and the lord! You don't need a bible in hand, in the presence of a pastor in a church at service to accept this in your own life....

Well in the posts that are addressed to you it's because your response to every discussion is "I don't believe it because ... Jesus."

You address no argument offer no counter facts do nothing except repeat the same garden-variety faulty logic and belief based irrelevancy in EVERY post in EVERY thread.

So don't be surprised when you get the same in return.

Was that too many words at once?

SCIENCE!!! YAY.....

Do you have a point about the 1500 year old bible that contains a copy of the Gospel of Barnabas?

Do you have a point about the Gospel of Barnabas?

Do you have a point about biblical historiography?

Prolly th e "gosphel of barnabus" was added to discredit the bible. It contradicts the entire book so it it any wonder it was excluded from the canon?

The bible was created by men from the writings of other men.

Anything else is merely religious belief.

This text is another among thousands of texts.

That's it.

(Thanks for your answer to questions posed to Chrisfish.)

or.....................this was a bunch of made up crap used to control the people, promise good fortune only after they die, and comfort the poor so that they didn't violently revolt (as they had in the past) against the wealthy few.......

Nailed it.

You could be right. I don't really know. I have read some time back that every death sentence must have a court order from Rome but do not remember if that meant Roman citizens only. You may very well be right. I have also read that Pilate was relieved from his post shortly after the death of Jesus for sedition and was exiled and then committed suicide.

Yep words of men.....Hey how many by the way? They are all wrong I tell ya! You believe what 2 people say on ATS but won't take any words for real in a book verified by thousands? Go figure....I am not telling you to believe but you are the kind of person I can't talk to on here, your mind is 100% closed....

Only if that is your interpretation of these pictures...

Just because he is in the sky does not make him an alien....You want to know what it REALLY means? He was SENT from the heavens to Earth, hence sky and some sort of craft....But nope....ALIEN.....

This is incorrect. The idea of Jesus being the "son" of god is an Idea that started as differing sects started to emerge in Christianity .

No, That idea was there as Jesus was still alive. Biblical history says that Jesus was arrested and charged with blasphemy in declaring that He was the Son of God. He was never charged with claiming that He was God but that He was the Son of the God of Abram. He was acquitted of that charge of blasphemy and agreed by the Sanhedrin that He indeed was the Son of God. Votes were 40 to 31. At this time of His trial there was no movement called Christianity.

This 1500 years old bible claims that the Sanhedrin of 71 tried the wrong guy and that Pilate had crucified the wrong guy. Mary had the wrong son. John was mistaken in identifying the wrong Jesus and all the Apostles and disciples (120 of them) could not identify the right Jesus. One piece of literature against tons of literature that says different. Sound sensible for the clubbers here on ATS.

I think Jesus was just an alien, and they most likely think so too!

He rose up into the sky? In what? A UFO of course!

Oh boy...

Who exactly is this they you speak of? The people who painted the pictures I suppose....I may as well just stop now with this line of thinking....

If you want people who actually knew, the answers are out there and they aren't on paintings done by people who weren't there...But it's always aliens so why even try?
