In Congress, however, 90 percent of the lawmakers are male, 89 percent in the House of Representatives and 93 percent in the Senate.

Some white men do abuse their privileges, and those are the ones that annoy other groups of people the most. Others enjoy their privileges without ever giving it a second thought. I think we have made a lot of progress in the past few hundred years. These days, the "white suppression" is a lot more nuanced.
