I was wondering how in the world we were going to discuss science when the science of the secret space program is kept secret and sometimes brutally suppressed!

It could be validation that these people do know something, have some sort of insider info or it could be validation that they all take bits and pieces from each other to keep up what ever charade they might be playing or whatever agenda they might be helping either consciously or not knowing they are a part of a disinfo agenda to create beliefs, to create further conspiracies to keep minorities like conspiracy theorists engaged in a never ending cycle of confusion and distrust.
If its true, secret alien agreements and councils looking over us and guiding us then I will wait to see or experience the truth instead of bickering on ATS threads about "he said, she said" and needing to feed my ego with implications of 'Oh my beliefs match this, dis-info agents try to shut this down but too many are 'whistleblowing' this for it not be true'
Do you know how often you bring up disinfo agents and try and label other ATSers as such?
It reeks of you being that what you accuse or imply others are, I have seen it for while and I am sure quite a few others have as well, although in your case I think you consciously think you are helping spread info and just don't think it through thoroughly enough and when you find something that strokes your ego you need to share it and shout disinfo at many that have differing opinions.
Believers that repeatedly need confirmation and look to find anything and everything that might point to their beliefs being "the truth" are some of the most egotistic people I have come across on the net, yet so many of them claim to have overcome their ego.
Its entertaining though, sometimes better than what professional entertainers can give.
Gotta love ATS, its posters like you that make things fun, I know its a game, its just you take it too seriously and cant see the game you are playing.

You asked the question how one can know there is a secret space program. I asked you about my post referencing The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure, which, to me, is extremely important, because it provided a platform for witnesses to testify before about facts which the mainstream, including the actual, "elected" Congress of the United States, actively hide and suppress.
For those unfamiliar with the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure, here is a video which presents an overview:

Did you watch mirage men?
How is it relevant?
Since Monday, five former representatives and a former senator have listened to witnesses talk about a massive decades-long government coverup of extraterrestrial life. The meeting is being billed as the “Citizen Hearing on Disclosure,” and it looks in some respects like a real hearing. Witnesses are sworn in, and there are members of Congress, albeit former ones who are getting paid $20,000 each to attend.
The faux hearing is the latest attempt by the Paradigm Research Group to bring attention to extraterrestrials. Its last was in 2011, when the White House responded to its petition by denying any extraterrestrial contact and politely referring them to real searches for alien life, like SETI. Paradigm plans to use footage from the panel, lent a bit of apparent authority by the former members of Congress, to make a movie about the alleged government coverup of alien life.
The group’s executive director, Stephen Bassett, told the New York Daily News that he initially reached out to 55 former members of Congress with an offer of $10,000 to attend. Not even Dennis Kucinich, who has spoken of his own UFO encounter before, took the deal. Bassett then doubled the offer and got six takers. They’re an eclectic bunch.

or is the newly released 'miragemen' a clean layer of obfuscation, just for # and giggles?

I don't bother with MSM, but you have to use discernment in the alternative media as well, the CIA is not stupid, usually.

No worries my friend.
I have to commend your persistence in working through this. I have to say I am very skeptical myself (I've seen this "whistleblower" stuff a number of times and it could be the work of the Mirage men (oh the irony)). I do detect that you are not entirely convinced yourself.
But I think you are enjoying the journey it takes you on and if it all turns out to be bunk then I suppose it's still an entertaining ride!

Very good point.
This information is someone "opinion" and there are no facts to validate that it is true. Sorry I don't believe in everything I read unless there are credible sources to back up such claims.
The former lawmakers, including former Sen. Mike Gravel (D-Alaska), listened with “open” minds and full pockets for several hours Tuesday at a simulated congressional hearing taking testimony that extraterrestrials “are here.”
“I came here being very skeptical, but I also recognize that I don’t know much about it,” said former Rep. Darlene Hooley (D-Ore.)
The six are being paid $20,000 each, plus expenses, by a group called the Paradigm Research Group, which insists UFOs are real and the government has been covering up their existence.
The group’s executive director, Stephen Bassett, told the Daily News that he initially contacted 55 former members of Congress with an offer of $10,000, among them former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), who famously recounted a UFO citing. After few responded, Bassett said he doubled the pay. That helped, he said.

According to these sources the timetable for disclosure is now in the acceleration phase.......so we should see some fantastic things in the next weeks and months.....if true. If we haven't seen anything earthshaking by the end of the year then I will concede the info was probably not true.....
