I use Tor for a long time. I have a diffrent laptop with a "special" operating system. I also do not pay for the internet.

I'm not really sure what this thread is all about, it's not like this subject matter is lost on the ATS community. I don't know, sounds like you want to say something that will inevitably violate ATS T&C which leaves you with a few slides that are by and large an insult to the readerships cognitive skills.

depends what protection you have

There's no protection against a government agency subpoenaing ISP access logs. There's no VPN or IP-masking network that will obfuscate what your ISP knows about what you're doing. And ISP's are required to keep the logs for two years.

Exactly. There's only one way to surf the "deep web" anonymously. Don't try it at home kids.

I am not violating anything. Me putting this post up is just giving people the idea that this exists. You know not everyone knows about it. There is also new users on ATS. Just thought people would like to know. Thanks everyone for the support. Thought ATS was about that. Getting and sharing info. If you dont like my idea of this just tell me man.

I agree. Tor was once a great tool. But so many of the relays are now operated by the government themselves...they have enough nodes in their control.

Your ISP and the government will know you are going to Tor.
That being said, there are 100 more silk road type websites operating there still. They seem to be getting some type of free pass for the time being, because they are not being stopped. The operators themselves are stealing all the money and taking off all the time of course but that is different..
Who knows. Honestly as far as most people know Silk Road was shut down and that was the end of that stuff. Perhaps the government simply does not care enough to do it more often..

That's honestly some good thinking. But you guys really think it would be that easy to track down a person in a day?
It took them a really long time to get to DPR

Oh I got no problem with the topic. But this is ATS after all, we don't want to hear about an orange. We want to hear about how an orange was abducted by pineapples and their core cored out without a drop of juice.

What are some uses for DeepWeb (legal ones)?

Can you site a story where information on the deepweb was used for ......something cool?

For created TOR? Now there's an interesting conspiracy thread idea. Nudge, nudge.

Well, they did have to prosecute their own agent for theft after the Silk Road fiasco. Perhaps they're afraid more of that publicity/temptation will hurt their rep? LoL

Of course. I know for some people it can be not safe. But i really think its still a whole ocean of new info that it offers , and what i think it is worth it. There is too much stuff on there and , they are probably trying to take them down , and wont have time for a single user of TOR that read some info with other 300 people. When there is rapists and killers posting services on TOR. FREE NET I2P an others.
