It wouldn't surprise me that the intel services employ journalists,it's wrong of course and once outed they should be banned from journalism for ever
Journalists should be impartial and tell the truth about the events they are describing or filming

Journalists should be impartial and tell the truth about the events they are describing or filming not type the words an intel agency gives them regardless of the truth
You can't understand that?
Is not truth better no matter how hard the pill is to swallow than a government agency lie?
Journalists should be whiter than white

So this David chap has evidence for what?
He seemed paranoid about being wanted by the Russians and suggested he had sensitive information stored in separate locations that he could leak if his safety was not assured by the security there

that might e a nice ideal - but has never been an actual requirement anywhere, and because of that some news services that get closer to it are regarded as more truthful than others.
no Russian news service has ever had a high reputation!!

And Russia shot down KAL007 with no sanctions. That's because the current sanctions are over Russia's actions in Crimea and support of the separatists. Not MH17. Remember that not even Russia's staunchest allies recognize the annexation of Crimea.

Currently 112 countries recognize Kosovo's independence. That includes over half of the UN. Seven countries recognize Russia's annexation of Crimea. That doesn't include Russia's supposedly staunch allies China and Belarus. A bit like comparing apples and oranges if you ask me.

And there are even Russian publications that express district of those numbers. Let's not forget that Putin planned the annexation weeks before any referendum was voted on. Also there's the fact that the only poll monitors were Russian and there were armed Russian troops in the street. Hardly an impartial election.
When even China won't recognize the annexation you know it's not on the up and up.
