He could just be part of someone's imagination. He doesn't seem to be given a normal life for the times.

Yeah I had a week break in Portugal and came back refreshed, less agitated, less confrontational...

It's done wonders.

The odd slip, but mostly productive.

I respond to people a lot less now as well...

In and out mentality rather than getting bogged down where both participants feel like they're talking to a brick wall.

I have noticed you around less, always prefer you around though buddy.

It is not the first time I've heard this.

Maybe he was. Does it matter?

Maybe he was. But, maybe someone should first prove Jesus was real.

have you successfully disproved all historical documentation supporting his existence?

I hope you put a thread up, seems like the sort of thing that should be archived.

Thanks old friend

One thing I have come to enjoy paying attention to here is the evolution of peoples personalities and opinions over time.

Some are the same as when I joined in 08, and others have evolved.

Not sure what that says, good or bad, but I have found that, personally, I have changed quite a bit.

Not my fundamental beliefs, but more how I let those beliefs express themselves.

I find I am much slower to judge, and tend to consider others opinions much more seriously.
So thanks ATS......I think

Sorry if OT.

you made a suggestion that caught my interest. i was sincerely hoping you had something to offer to that end, but i guess it was just bait. which i actually wasnt expecting given your posting history. you are usually fairly thoughtful and thorough about your content.

Jesus gave out Hand Jobs to his flock?

The guy is a tenured professor of Theology at Harvard....These days, does anyone expect anything different from left-wing, Ivy league academia?

The media might choose to have fun running the story...but I sincerely doubt the far-right...(or even the right, for that matter) take anything this nutty professor, or his tenured Harvard comrades say, seriously.
Only his progressive, mush-brained, PC students at Harvard are taking notes.

can we please refrain from the crude innuendos? this is supposed to be a respectable forum and i know we can be mature while discussing these matters...

Jesus forgive me, But I am still laughing my ass off over reading that.

It is just so outrageous it is humorous.

I was directly referring to the OP's statement about Hand Jobs from Jesus.
Did you tell him you were offended, as well?

Then maybe this thread should be removed, because that IS what was said in the OP.

In my late 20's I read King James and Good News bibles cover to cover. (Admittedly I skipped the begats lol) I then read the Unvarnished gospels. All within a year of each other.

I was not gay then, nor now, so there was nothing like that influencing my thoughts on Jesus. The notion of Jesus being gay had never crossed my mind, nor at that time was their anyone in my circles that ever said anything as blasphemous (as it would have been considered by folks I knew then) like Jesus is gay.

They were all three quite enlightening and left me with the nagging suspicion Jesus may have been gay.

i will mention it to the proper authorities. not really interested in getting the thread removed, just interested in having some class on the forums. its possible to discuss such things tastefully and i thought that was a virtue here, regardless of whatever site the article originates from.

No. And No it was not bait. A mistake that would derail the thread.

I happen to believe there was a real Jesus, a man, but I don't believe the myth. Different discussion.
