Question about women

I'm not the type of person who usually talks about personal issues on a public forum but I thought this was interesting enough to warrant a discussion. ATS seems to have a much higher number of females compared to any other forum I visit so I thought it would be a good place to post this and get some feedback. Basically I haven't had a girlfriend for many years, it's not that I'm bad looking or scared of talking to women (well not any more than the majority of men). I think the main reason is just because I'm very picky and it's hard to find a girl that I'm compatible with, and I have certain beliefs that many women seem to disagree with. I have compiled an arguably short list of traits that I look for in a women, so my question is: does a women like this exist on the face of this planet or am I just totally asking for the impossible and should I lower my standards?

* should be easy going and not someone who stresses out over everything
* should not be part of any organized religion or secret society
* should not be a racist or discriminate against minorities such as gays
* should be open minded but able to maintain a healthy skepticism
* should be able to question authority and not be a mindless drone
* should defend libertarian principles and dislike socialist nanny states
* should be smart enough to discuss at least some complex/technical topics
* should prefer organic and natural foods over GMO's and processed foods
* should admit that she enjoys sex and not use it as a way to bribe me
* can want kids but must be willing to adopt, Earth is already overpopulated

I don't think you are asking nor expecting too much...I think there are quite a few women that are like what you want and need...one of them just needs to run across your path one of these days!

Haha... valid point. Although those things I listed are some of the most important things I would look for, not an exact description of myself. Of course some of the points are less important than others, she doesn't necessarily have to have the same libertarian leanings as me but I wouldn't want her to be a hardcore socialist because it would probably just cause too many arguments.

Expected this thread based on the title to have responses like this...

Not sure this qualifies, but one thing I have learned is that you can never look or expect something because the one you fall in love with will be the one you least expect at the most random time.

If you are trying to find this type of woman on Christian Mingle or Match.com you are looking in the wrong place.

ATS women are rare finds and are usually already taken.

I would lower your standards. You have a very specific list.

Do you seriously compare every woman you date to this list?

My advice: No one is perfect. If you expect perfection in regard to your standards, you will never find anyone.

Give imperfection a chance.

Ditch the list, start with someone that makes you laugh.

Also, your requirement that women, "can want kids but must be willing to adopt, Earth is already overpopulated" is asking a bit too much.

"Honey I know you have perfectly functioning ovaries but I don't want to create a child of our own. The Earth is so overpopulated it makes more sense to adopt a stranger's offspring." Few women will agree with this "request."

You better find a woman who can't conceive.

Stick to your guns, accept no imitations. Standards are necessary in the beginning, thrown away in the middle, and re administered later. Nothing changes, but nothing stays the same. Enjoy the pursuit of your perceived happiness, remember it when you are comfortably numb with content. She's out there, go find her.

This is probably one of the most important points in the list for me. There are millions of orphans who will live a terrible life unless they are adopted by a good family. I see no sense in needlessly increasing the already large human population when there is a large number of orphans who need someone to love them. I don't think it's too much to ask at all... I'm simply asking she doesn't put herself through excruciating pain when there is no reason to do so.

Lol well not that it should be relevant but lets just say I have a very large knowledge base and don't have trouble finding work when I need it.

I am going to take a leap and guess that you were adopted as a child?

No I was not I grew up in a relatively normal family with biological parents who loved me.
