When did you know that some people were homosexual.

I was around 6 or 7 and I loved Are you being served and Mr Humphries.



(Very dated but one of the first Gay characters on TV I think).

I remember asking my Dad about Mr Humphries and he told me he was a "Woolly woofter" and I said oh like Uncle Mark? and my Dad said no Uncle mark is not gay...He came out that year.
It has never bothered me people being gay and actually enjoy characters in the media who are Gay.
So when did you know about gay folk and while you are at it has anyone got any other gay media icons?.
Obviously this is a question for everyone but I know gay folk would have always known about gay folk lol.

I think I was 4 and went over to my mom's friends house.
It was some kind of party thing. Mostly lesbian vegetarians.

Kids don't care they understand love.

I remember when my Uncle came out and it did cause a massive rift in the family, us kids were the only ones who thought" Who cares Uncle Mark is Uncle Mark".

I was a sheltered child and didn't find out until I was probably 13 or 14. I was horrified that a man could find another man's hairy butt attractive.

Funny, I was over at my mom's on the weekend and we were talking about this. She said that when I was 6 or 7, after watching an episode of The Simpsons, I had asked her "what's up with Mr. Smithers?"

I suspect gay folk have people like "I'm a leg man" or "A boob man" but different.
We all have things our eyes tend to fix on .
