I can see why some people feel like that. But those are also the same men and women that will step between you and a bad guy .

In my home town of Miami, I would believe that. But in the backwoods of North Carolina they do more harm than good. It really depends on where you're located.

But thankfully, no one really cares about terrorising the backwoods.

Nope. I mean Pepsi cans, beer cans, soup cans, and maybe some zombie targets if I can find them.

or seeing someone walking at you with an AK-47 like Tunisia. It just might be me but I would rather have seen him before he started shooting .

You won't see lightning coming either.

But as far as look up and die suddenly scenarios, we are all exposed to them all day. if you go outside, I mean.

Car crashes are quick, too. Guess we best drive careful as well, and not just on the fourth.

Same as last 4th. Doubt the government could stop if unless they are the one's doing it. I think it's clear there are some evil people running the country.

I'll let you worry for me. I got a crab feast to attend and drinking to do. I'm not going to worry about dying or being attacked in the slightest. Enjoy spending your weekend in fear.

My worries center 100% around not dying in an automobile accident since car deaths FAR outnumber terrorist related deaths and there will be a TON of drunk drives on the roads. Screw the stupid fear mongering for once.

It still ticks me off that we even have to think about anything like this because of a bunch of freakin' brainwashed nutjob- psycho- mass murders. Damn them all to hell.

We don't HAVE to think about this. You can just ignore all the fear hype and turn off the news for once. I guarantee you that the world becomes a LOT less scarier that way. For instance, after work on Thursday, I won't be getting on ATS until Monday morning.

I'm not planning on going anywhere. I have no fireworks and I hate crowds so I'll probably get my rifle out and murder some cans. It's been a while since I did that.

He hates these cans!!

It doent matter who's to blame ? Really I would have thought it's pretty important who's to blame, maybe it's the politicly correct thing to say just incase you upset some retarded terrorist. That's why were overflowing with Isis supporters in this country , people are frightened to speak out because of the wet left bbc or soppy liberal twat.

No fear at all in staying alert . Ignore your obligations to yourself your family and other people if you want . I prefer to be a man about it.

Then you may be excited to hear that I pretty much don't log onto ATS on ANY weekend. The 4th really isn't any exception, except that my break will be an extra day longer because I have a short work week this week.

In fact, I'm really only ever on ATS while at work. So come 5 pm est, I also get off of ATS for the day as well.

My obligation to my family this weekend is to show up to the crab feast and have a good time. There is no need to discuss politics or any other nonsense though, and acknowledging that I don't have to fear a terrorist attack this weekend doesn't make me "not a man". What a stupid appeal to gender stereotype fallacy.

Oh NO! Some guy on the internet called me less of a man because I refuse to be scared of a non-existent terrorist threat! Better run out and buy a gun, some beef jerky, and go work on my car to get some punches back into my man card! /sarc

Honestly there's not an ounce of fear in me the term is resolved. Normally by this time of year on every site I've been on I do a thread about watching for children or animals left unattended in vehicles In the hot summer sun .

Your preference to taking the exact opposite stance of any OP.Would probably put you s in the position to say . I don't care about babies baking in cars I'm going to McDonald's . ( zero sarcasm )

Wish you would have made that thread instead of making this one promoting the stupid non-existent muslim terrorist threat.

Who knows? You didn't make that thread though. You made one endorsing a non-existent threat instead.

You always show up on any thread with the position to argue with the OP. Point out where I promoted a nonexistent terrorist threat in my OP. If you would've bothered to read it you would see that I said ANY threat.

Again read the whole OP before you reply with a contradiction of it .

Oh BULL#! You clearly said this:

There is a terror alert warning issued , the mainstream media is all a buzz . There have been recent attacks In our country and overseas .

Which says that you are worried about a terrorist attack regardless of the wordage you used later in the thread. Who cares what the media says about terror alerts? When have THEY ever been right about them? Notice that terrorist attacks tend to happen on days that we AREN'T expecting instead of obvious ones like holidays? Yet EVER holiday the media gets all crazy and issues terrorist alerts. Clearly its to get ratings when everyone should be out celebrating.

By the way, just because we rarely see eye to eye, doesn't mean I disagree with every thread I enter. For one, sometimes I just stay silent on things I agree with and just S&F the thread and move on. So stop anecdotally analyzing my posting habits.

Again read the whole OP before you reply with a contradiction of it .

I did.
