This is just another reason not to trust the religious minded. Why do you salivate at the thought of the end times?
You want to be right so bad that you would accept the end of the human race to prove a point?

Maybe. The alter is more of a clue, in my mind, than the other. The "star" that the wise men followed moved, after all, so was most likely an angel. The term "star" is used to denote an angel at times in the Bible. There are a lot of other signs, though. Increased earthquake activity, more globalism, and so forth, and I do feel like it's closer than many want to believe.
Double post....
The temple will be built. We know that will happen.

Sorry the whole Doom Po.rn lost its luster for me 15 years ago when Y2K was all the craze. Unless I see an asteroid about to hit Earth or a few nuclear explosions going off around me then I think the Earth will be fine.
Me personally I hope mother nature kills off all the morons so we can live our lives without being forced coerced or suckered to do anything.

We salavate at the thpught of the end times because it represents an end to evil and justice being implemented.
I dont understand why you think it is about, proving a point?
the thing about prophesy is that any arbitrary event can look like the fulfillment of that vague prophesy from thousands of years ago.

Because we don't know how it will fall out exactly?
We can hope for that scenario, but it could also be that we'll be stuck here with everyone else till the end. It could also be that we are removed midway through.
Anyone who tells you they know for sure is operating off of belief and nothing more.
So again, we watch and prepare ourselves spiritually and understand what the beginning of the end and the end itself may call us to undergo.

No one wants the world to end, but no one wants to be caught off guard by it either.

Also, when the asylum is run by the crazies, they can make decisions that affect everyone else and make policy that would make it seem like vague prophesies are coming true.

This world's constant state of war is perpetrated by our governments. Last i checked, a shocking majority of them are evangelical christians who keep making decisions that would naturally lead to situations that will appear to fulfill these absurd prophesies.

You people gobble that # up like its all laid out just for you because it is. You support the fear mongering and feel justified about your beliefs because you support the con. It is a circular argument and you gobble up any scrap of story that is thrown out to you. You want to belive the book so bad, that you would accept anything said in a youtube video that supports it. You scour the internet accepting every end times revelation made by people you've never met before. The crazier, the better for most of you. All along, dismissing the fact that thousands of youtube "prophets" fail every day.

End religion and end the useless fear of everything.

As my dad use to say: "Let God kill them all and let him sort this out".
As you know the world will never end....there will be a cleansing however and I can not wait even if it brings death to me because I know that there will be others who will deserve it.
Of course all of us will not be killed...... according to the bible - when the time comes.....a minimum of two thirds of the planet population will die over a short time.
so two thirds or 66% of all people being eliminated is a lot of assholes, mean, arrogant, self serving, greedy, war mongering people.......not a bad start.

And here it is. What Christianity awaits. The pouring out of god's wrath on the heathens, and the murder of billions of people(by god himself) that don't belong to the Jesus clique. Kinda hard to contain that glee, isn't it?
yes i said most. Most. It is not hyperbole. It is fact. Pol pot, stalin, and mao, and their followers, killed people. But not anywhere near the scale that christianity, judaism, and islam, are working with. So yes, MOST.
originally posted by: borntowatch
So its only the religious, no atheists like Pol Pot Stalin Mao, just the religious. All atheists are fine upstanding people.
Yes there are many evil religious people, I include myself.
Most of the evil??? We call that hyperbole
Outside the US (and is that really evangelical christian, really) can you name me some, any, maybe even one???????
Maybe one that is even a little evangelical christian????
We call that hyperbole as well
Global warming ring a bell, atheism has her own
Fear mongering, yep, thats what it is, accountability comes with a reckoning
Its in the religion forum, believe it or not, visit or not. What did you expect
and here is my complimentary threat of hellfire and punishment.
Be afraid, there will be a time of accountability and punishment, I believe that
Christianity teaches responsibility and love. Tough message I know
another threat and an ultimatum.
It also teaches accountability, there is a time coming, choose sides. You have a free will.
No prophesies, only fear mongering and threats.
Is this thread accurate and true? I dont know, it was interesting though.
Prophecy being fulfilled
Yes its a warning
Here is the apathy that religion breeds. "Let god sort it out". This leads people to not take responsibility. Why would people intervene in a bad situation when they think that everything is gods will or that god will sort it out. Then after they pray and nothing happens, they feel guilty because, they think god doesn't like them. Or god is teaching them a lesson. Which leads to more apathy.

You are basing this off of an anecdotal story that has been changed many times throughout the 1000s of years that it has been spread across the world by threat of death, hell fire, or removal from family and community. Christianity was spread by threat of death. And YOU are still spreading it by threat of punishment.

No, you do not scapegoat. Jesus does not forgive you unless you sincerely desire to repent. You cannot sincerely desire to repent unless you own your sins and accept that you did something wrong. Hence accountability.
This is the lesson of the two thieves hung with Him on the day he was crucified. One was saved the other was not although both asked Him to save them. One merely asked him to take them off the cross if He was the Son of God that they might all escape. The other rebuked the first, telling him that they had earned their punishments by being bad men while Christ had done nothing wrong at all and then he simply asked Christ to remember him to God.
The second thief owned his sins and had faith that Christ was who He claimed to be. He was forgiven.
Repent accept Christ as Lord and savior.
Oh sorry thats preaching and you hate that, best I shut up.
These threads are a warning, choose to ignore them and not believe.
Do you only come here to troll Mr Klassified Warn you, you dont like it Dont warn you and you think we are the Jesus clique who wants you to suffer eternally
You could never be happy, you just want to vent your hate at us.

Religion requires your apathy to exist. They rely on your fear to diverge your thoughts and educate yourself. They rely on the fact that you seek answers from your preachers and not from scientific study.
