Are you comparing Children of Same-Sex parents to an Earth Worm?
i don't know if you are being sarcastic or actually serious?

NO. I am not comparing anything to anything (IT IS ALL ON YOU) regarding interpretation. I am never sarcastic [that would be a negative thought form]; more of the ironic and sardonic. The single cell ameba, and the earthworm are reproductive miracles as they are both male and female.

I cannot say what I am; most likely an unclaimed (by family or country) humorist.

Thanks Darth

I've been outta state at my daughters and she doesn't have internet. Can't believe after all this time - - I was "unplugged" on such a momentous day.
Oh well, she's just gonna have to pay some extra charges on her iPhone bill

I'm still blown away that it was full on Marriage Equality for America. And despite a few stubborn laggers - - its happening everywhere.

I know the fights not done yet. Need that protected non-discrimination class - - which I believe will happen.

13% actually try and commit suicide. Wow. That could be hundreds, if not thousands of people in that country.

I feel very very sad about this. These are human beings. Every life is precious. They had full lives ahead of them. Suicide is such a devastating event for an entire extended family. The pain endures forever. One final, selfish act that leaves a path of destruction.

But, it's just glossed over by the gay community, and all the blame is shifted to the "bullies." It's swept under the rug. Are these just innocent victims in "the struggle"? Or are they simply more victims of the sexual revolution? Do gay lives not matter?

After 14 years of legalized gay "marriage", In such a FABulous country like the Netherlands, 13% are still trying to kill themselves. And this is not disordered? You think this is just a normal outcome? A small price to pay? It's a disgusting statistic.

I hate to see even one life wasted due to this mental condition. The delusion that is promulgated by this community, is all lies. Lives lived in delusion, they don't even care about the untold thousands of victims left along the way.

13%. So sad.

Gay lives matter. I wish I could have been there for each one of them. To talk to them, show them another way. There IS a way out. They don't have to live with that pain. The solution is not suicide.

Kids are dying, but we feel fabulous. That's sick. Disordered.

Whose fault other than the bullies is it?

Gay kids for not having enough tough skin to deal with physical and emotional abuse?

I think not.

It's also NOT glossed over by the gay community anywhere. A bunch of gay outreach programs are to prevent suicide, runaways, self harm, eating disorders etc.

What's this way out that you speak of?

You know why these gay young people want to commit suicide don't you? It's because there are still people in The Netherlands who make them feel like they are sub-human for being gay. Sound familiar to you?

Homophobia remains
Twelve years of same-sex marriage did not wipe out homophobia from society. For instance, Yunus, now 9, and his adoptive mothers had to go into hiding, fearing for their safety.

Bullying and victimisation also still occurs on a daily basis. A recent study by Dutch and American scientists concluded that lesbian, gay and bisexual youths are still victims of stigmatisation in their families, schools and neighbourhoods.

These words and acts have tragic consequences: almost 64% of the surveyed LGBT 18-24-year-olds in the study reported thinking about suicide and almost 13% of them attempted suicide. For straight Dutch youths of the same age group, the figures are respectively 10.3% (thought about suicide) and 2.2% (attempted suicide). The study suggests that ongoing persecution, especially at school and by the parents, are linked to increased risks in suicidal thoughts and attempts.

Society and people like you are going to have to get over their personal feelings about homosexuality enough to treat these kids better, or we will continue to have these kinds of problems. Stop telling them they are an abomination! Stop telling them they are going to hell! Stop telling them they have a choice!

If anyone reads this and would like to talk privately with me, PLEASE send me a pm. I've experienced first hand the devastating effects of suicide, and yes, it had to do with this issue.

Life is precious. A gift to be relished.

There ARE solutions to any one of your anxieties. Suicide is 100%, absolutely, NOT one of them. EVER!. Please please please talk to someone, anyone.

You...are the only version of You. You're one of a kind. Lets talk about how amazing your gifts truly are. We can't lose you. We need you. Yes....we love you. You're one of "us".

"You can Call me, maybe it's late...but just call me. Tell me, and I'll be around".

Talking about Federal Protections, i wonder how many people who claim their religious beliefs tell them not to believe in Same-Sex Marriage would support that. it would have nothing to do with 'Marriage or really anything religious. i wonder if a poll was started or something how many would support that

Do you not realize that by legalizing same sex marriage, we just helped prevent some suicides? That the SCOTUS ruling gives the community hope that it won't always be this way?

People are acting that with the marriage equality ruling the queer community gained a mile when in reality it was an inch.

Exactly.

As one of the "T"s in the GLBTIQA community I can say that while I am very happy the Supreme Court ruled in favor of marriage equality, from age 17 on, I always could have gotten married unless I wanted to marry a woman (which in my case is unlikely since I'm a hetero girl who happens to also be T).

The personal gain for me was that friends of mine who -are- gay or lesbian now have the same right to marry the one they love as I already had.

So yeah, this was a step in the right direction but as long as there are some states which can openly discriminate against me in terms of housing, education, employment or the criminal justice system, simply because I was born differently then there is plenty left to do, and that's just one example of the work left to be done.
