But isn't that what you are doing with this thread. You know it is a hoax. You said so in your OP. But you made a thread anyways on the off chance that it is true. Then you gave reasons that it might be true. Your main reason being that it is Obama. And Obama is capable of anything. Because you really want it not to be a hoax. So that your bias of Obama can be confirmed.

I'll look it up, is that just one time or yearly? Also take aside the fact of how much Texan citizens pay in taxes and then tell me what happens to the oil and beef prices for the rest of the state's. Any way you cut this it's hard to find any logic in this happening. That and an executive order only lasts for so long. There is no way this could happen, but if it did I think America would suffer more than a small very functional state restructuring with lots and lots of more money to feed into their already thriving government.

My objections and out and out dislike of Obama is apparent in all of my other threads posted on ATS about the subject. I impeached him as my President long ago. He is nothing more than a well paid charlatan masquerading as an honorable human being. He is the most Dangerous man to have ever been elected.

Or, having realized the actual verbiage used in the ACA ( Obama's legacy) is now being challenged in the SCOTUS because of precise wording interpretations, perhaps it is true but being carefully scrutized so not to repeat past massive blunders.

You do realize that an EO can't remove a state right? The only way to remove a state is for the other states to agree to do it in a vote. The claims made in this article are beyond absurd.

Even if it could, there is no way to force Texas to be an independent country, or send FEMA in once they were removed from the US.

It clears nothing up. Because that is exactly what I already thought. You hate the man so much. That you want to believe, every and any, thing said about him, that will justify that hate. Even if it is not strictly true.

The USA started dipping into those bonds regularly since 1934. The first issued was for $250billion! Back in 1934, that was quite a debt...and has not yet been paid.

California has oil and beef as well. We can use ours, if we had the right legislative body in state office.

I used to think that my Predident knew his limitations in the Executive Branch, and looked to the Legislative Branch and then Judicial branch as they all act as checks and balances for the POTUS. That flew out the window with Obama. It isn't a matter of what YOU nor even I "know"...it is what Obama believes he can do with his mighty pen and phone.

Remember when he leaned over to Putin, with an unknown open mic, saying "I can do a lot more in my second term"? Boy, hasn't he just.

I put nothing outside the realm of attempt with Obama because of his actions while POTUS to my country. That is why I posted this thread. BECAUSE maybe HE thinks he can in his remaining term. You and others say no. But there are so many untruths and misspoken words from all parties in politics, nothing should be discounted as impossible these days.

We shall see, to be honest I'm not an economist so I don't have much expertise. That bring said my doubt comes from the geopolitical situations right now, and with the USA, Russia and China all competing very heavily right now it would truly suprise me should this happen.

So once Texas becomes an independent country hour is he going to send FEMA in? He has no power over anything in Texas after he allegedly steps them of statehood. So what, he's going to invade them?
