Wu Tang Clan all the way for me...love 'em. Got just about every remix and album out there.

Music is music and we all just gravitate to whatever resonates with our 'souls.' Intelligent hip hop and rap hits my soft spot in the same way great soul music and rock does.

It crossed my mind yesterday that here we are out in the boonies of space. As far as we know, this green and blue world is the only one with intelligent life on it. All this music and it could be lost. Righteous Brothers, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye etc. Wu Tang, Beethoven, Pink Floyd.

All of the genres we argue about should be archived in the same way we've archived plant species in Scandinavian caves.

Half-joking...we should be launching CDs and SD cards into space in their millions to preserve the musical history of our planet.

As a mod you should be able to bop some wu tang on here for the world to see.

I may pop a little insane clown posse here later...

the more the merrier.

I liked rap from about ages 11-15.

I am now 31 and loathe it.

However, as they say, another mans trash is another mans treasure.

As such, to each their own.

So what about the rap of the last 16 or so years are you against?

And also all the rap you never heard when you were younger?

Can we have an explanation of why and how this is good listening please?

It would help with the cause as it were.

Many thanks.

Here's one of mine, but it's not orthodox

soundcloud.com...

Lyrics :
33 unfold the symphony in front where we can see
Come out and play it's judgment day, forgive but never forget is how we pray

Political and Economical control up to ritual of sacrificial souls
Destruction and creation trough manipulation of the free nations

The revelations isn't a direction, it's a story or history, all but gods decree
No vice will suffice, no sacrifice, no temple, no anti-christ

Take the chance Now is the time for repentance

You will get down on your knees, begging us oh pretty please
Don't let it come to this, Don't let it come to this
Why can't we fix this right, bring the darkness to the light
Don't let it come to this, Don't let it come to this

Scarcity trough the military to abuse of every penny globally
Wars silence benevolence in independence from your financial dominance

Impayable unaccountable debts, chain us into slavery that's left
Incarceration with fake democratic make-up fashion

Revolution is the solution, is it part of your plan, to feed from satan's hand
No price will suffice, just roll a dice, and hope our hearts, are not cold as ice

Now is the time for repentance

You will get down on your knees, begging us oh pretty please
Don't let it come to this, Don't let it come to this
Why can't we fix this right, bring the darkness to the light
Don't let it come to this, Don't let it come to this

Let's make a deal just you and me
Let's all wake to reality
There is so much we can do, so far we can go
Reach the stars, live eternally
This dream is something we can achieve
nothing is hard if we believe

Ok I think I understand now.

What you have done is misunderstood a broad topic were people talk about all manners of music and the question of what you like as an individual.

It's easy to do but that's not what everone else is talking about here.

What you need to do is start a new topic with the title"This is my opinion on music everybody"

Then everyone that agrees can join in with you and agree that you are right and anyone else has just got it wrong.

I don't care if you agree with me nor am i hijacking your thread. Hip hop is dead and died after the 2000's. Most of the music posted is from the early 2000's.

People under the stairs
immortal technique
Jedi Mind Tricks
MF DOOM
Masta Killah
Brother ALi
Blackalicious
Deltron 3030

just making a point that music has changed or at least American Hiphop

now ill be off to leave your thread alone and keep my mouth shut

What are you even talking about?

Is it your own tiny opinion on what you think music could and should be?

Is this why you have decided to leave this thread alone now?

Did you read the OP? do you understand what others were talking about?

Do you like to talk about what you like and how do you deal with other conversations?

Will you come back or will you do as you say and keep your mouth shut?

All these questions and more will be answered soon.
