America has a very fine police state.
You most likely have something to gain from it so you defend it.

And the most awesome part of it is that you can't do anything about it.

Cool story, enjoy your police state.

Actually the most awesome part of it is their is something I can do and that is not give a damn about anything you say.. so enjoy your cop hate.

Why not logically refute what a person claims instead of committing logical fallacies because you don't like what they say?

If an uprising against police is unwarranted: why?

I am enraged at the police in the US right now I just DON'T advocate murdering them. Good luck with your cheerleading though. How many generations does it take to truly get over the loss of a parent/family member/friend, especially through violent means?

When a person goes through that kind of loss it is life altering, mentally damaging so you're not only removing an authority figure but you're giving ammo to a whole host of people related to that person... not to mention the generations to come, the things that traumatized my parents ended up affecting me and because I was affected so is my son, it's unavoidable... even if they happened before I was born.

Your thinking has no basis in logic.

I completely agree with you, but as has been said, when you make peaceful protest impossible--you make violent revolution inevitable.

I agree, I don't think we've reached that point of no return though... not yet. I'm willing to engage in the process to repeal and whittle away the unnecessary until then.

I like how you left out what I said about no measure of slavery being acceptable.

Does that mean that you believe that some slavery is acceptable?

So, anyone have any new info on the actual topic of the thread? Last I heard he was declared dead by snipe fire, a couple bombs were detonated by robot in the van, and the van caught fire soon after. That fire resulted in some ammunition still in the van to fire off indiscriminately.

That's about the size of it. They only confirmed him dead a few hours ago and I haven't seen anything really new since. That van lit up like a freakin Roman candle though.

They interviewed the father and he said his son was depressed after he lost custody and then lost his job. Couldn't find another job.

Thought he bought the van to visit some friends out west after he sold his house.

Seems to me that the bomb-bot has a camera on it, so why did they not see the ammo on the van BEFORE detonating the bombs. Then, have a fire crew on hand to immediately respond to keep the van from being engulfed in flames, destroying evidence in the process. I wonder if we will ever get actual confirmation he did have a fully-auto weapon. The only reason it has been claimed so far if from a quote of the PD on the scene, only based upon what they heard. They seems to be assuming full-auto.

Awesome headline here. Not sure how much traction it'll get on a widespread level, but I figure everybody here should love that this guy has already been called a conspiracy theorist....

NOT fully automatics or explosives.
ILLEGAL AS hell.

Theres just hearsay at this point regarding the nature of the weapons. Listening to the videos it didnt sound like automatic fire to me. A quick trigger finger or possibly a bumper stock but I have serious doubts there was anything automatic being fired. As for the wxplosives, anybody eith the internet can make pipe bombs in the kitchen or basement and everything Ive read says pipe bomb so plastique is highly speculative. He doesnt need C4 to make something go boom snd it would have detonated far more reliablly than something homemade. As there were 4 bags at the DPD HQ and none of them were detonated by the shooter, its much more likely homemade.

Of course. We discussed his looney tunes rants and his love of Alanis M.

But that doesn't mean I have to like it

I just see this is as very possible/likely fodder for the MSM to apply the broad brush. I know you and I rarely agree on anything, but I think we both don't care for that approach.
