I'm sure this topic has been touched many times but never gets old. What is your favorite band? Who creates music that you can listen to beginning to end without skipping over songs? Music that has touched you and maybe even changed your life.

Tool - In my opinion the best ever
The Beatles - So many catchy songs. The best song writers
Alice in Chains - Great lead man with one of the best vocalists ever

So many other greats. Music is such a huge influence in so many lives. I have nothing but respect to those who make it great.

I cant ever see my list changing from these 3 bands...depending on what mood I am in depends on what order but it's always these 3..Heavy as anything else, ominous, fast, progressive, male, female, warm, intricate, zone out, serious, spiritual, pained, evocative, visceral..These 3 bands comprise various parts of those words above along with many other adjectives.

Opeth
Dead Can Dance
Pink Floyd

I never could make my mind up for the longest time. Then came the 80s ......, and they threw Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Jeff Lynne in with the second greatest voice ever in music Roy Orbison .

My favorite song

And everyone else's favorite song .

I love Roy Orbison's voice. I read somewhere that he and Johnny Cash were next door neighbors. Man, that would have been kick ass living by them. Can you imagine the jam sessions they must have had, both of them playing guitars and singing?

That's funny...I cannot stand that man's voice. hits me like nails on a chalkboard. I am in the minority, I know, and respect your choices.

Bad Religion
RX Bandits
Buckethead
Unearth
Etc...

Is it egotistical to say that if you look any of them up, you will find they are awesome as well?

The jam sessions would've been great. But could you imagine the partying going on ?

That's kind of a funny statement about jamming. I'm not 100% sure this is true but it is my understanding that that's how the Traveling Wilburys formed . They used to gather and jam for fun then later they decided to do an album .

If that information is bad somebody please correct me .

I can't think of a Mr. Bungle song that isn't awesome.
I'd have to throw Ween and Man Man into the mix, too.
Anything by Zappa is pure treasure.

Oasis.

There hasn't been a near decent band since the 90s.
