How about this then I'M all for these contests to target HOSTILES.

Very well.

How does a cartoon contest target hostiles? Does the drawing magically turn in to Super Rambo and fly across the globe to bring justice to Muslim terrorists?

While that would be something I'd pay to see, I doubt that would happen.

In reality this contest was to PROVOKE hostiles, not target them. Freedom of speech allows them to do that if they so choose. But it's hard for me to support them or feel bad for them when the reaction to this "contest" was exactly what they wanted.

I have no idea how you have formed this opinion about my statements ? But I loved how you took a opine of mine and twisted into my opinion .

I have done no such thing. I am a literalist. I take what people say for what it literally means. So it is not an opinion. You said it and all I have done is ask you to clarify.

Did you not post exactly what I quoted? Did you not state that there are similarities in tactics in one post, and yet in the OP claim that it made sense?

If I am misinterpreting what you said, or you posted the comment before revising for accuracy, that's understandable and please correct me.

Otherwise, it may appear that you uphold the tactics for one group/person and deplore them for another. That, of course, would be a bias and we are all welcome to have our bias', but I would just like clarification so that I know what you actually stand for.

Are you comparing a cartoon drawing contest, to showing up at a event with the sole purpose of murdering as many people as you can as the same thing?

No. I've never said that or anything that could be interpreted as such. All I have said is that she did this knowing full well what the reaction may be. She did it purposefully to invoke a reaction and she got what she wanted. While I condemn those that came to cause violence over a cartoon contest, I feel no pity for Geller when she simply got exactly that which she wanted.

Remember Pam Geller had a cartoon drawing contest. Those two idiots showed up with murder on their mind to protest .

Agreed. Now can you answer my question and/or clarify your previous statements?

There in lies the problem.

I have clarified my position several times. You just don't like it and for some strange reason you are making this thread entirely about me from your standpoint. While I'm flattered this endless repetition is getting pretty boring .

Therein lies the problem.

I didn't ask you to clarify your position, nor do I like or dislike it. I'm indifferent on the matter as I have my opinion and find the entire issue to be of no consequence to me whatsoever. I asked you to clarify the inconsistencies in the exact statements that I quoted. I understand your position very well and respect it as it is.

What I don't understand is how you can make the initial comment, then make the latter without noticing the hypocrisy and proceed to obfuscate the debate by turning attention away from those specific comments by claiming that you have already clarified your position, when your position on the issue was never in question.

Do the tactics make sense to you in Geller's case and not for radical Islam due to a personal agenda/bias? Do you actually recognize the hypocrisy and are now trying to skirt the issue out of embarrassment or hubris?

What irritates radical Islam?

We know drawing cartoons they find offensive do.

So we have people who claim that it is free speech, but still think it is a wrong thing to do.

What else irritates radical Islam?

Gays. Gay marriage.

But it would be heresay to even mention stopping that.

So what is Gellar doing that gay marriage advocates aren't?

It's not a "wrong thing to do". We need people to stand-up for what they believe.

What I take issue with is the fact that she provoked the radical Muslims and is now trying to play the sympathy/victim card because they retaliated.

She should take personal responsibility for it and cherish the fact that she received the exact response that she wanted.

Gay marriage provokes radical Islam. We see this when they toss gays off the roof of buildings. sure, they just haven't made specific death threats to any gays in the west, as far as I know.

I think she has. She hasn't backed down from anything.

ya have to read this stuff to get it.....the huge flaw in the koran.....Mohamed said that none of his writings were to supercede the original writings of Moses.....a reply to: buster2010

right there in the Koran along about 29 0r 32....somewhere in there.
29 or 32 what you ask...that's just it, sura 29 or 31.....but there are no other book names.....so why even have a sura.....the literary content is in a league other than the " Original Writings "

Cherry pick all you want, but the ratio is the problem.

Pick any Verse you like and I'll prove that it's you who is cherry picking.

Surah 9:5 - But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)
Surah's 8:39; 9:5; 9:29: 47:4 in the Muslim Qur'an are 'divine' commandments to persecute Jews and Christians, to defeat them in battle and then to consign them either to slavery or to death.
Surah 4:34 - A husband can beat a wife into submission if the wife refuses sexual relations.
And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess…” (Qur'an 4:24 )

Those who reject Islam are "the vilest of creatures" and thus deserve no mercy. Qur'an 98:6
"Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers, smite at their necks;" Qur'an 47:4
Koran (Qur'an) 8:67-68 'It is not for any Prophet to have captives until he hath made slaughter in the land. You desire the lure of this world and Allah desires for you the hereafter and Allah is Mighty, Wise.. Now enjoy what you have won as lawful and good and keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is forgiving, merciful.'

Gay marriage provokes radical Islam.

Forgive my ignorance, but I can't recall the last event when a gay marriage group openly insulted Islam in order to make a political/social point.

I guess I missed the last "Rainbow Pride-sponsored Mohammed cartoon drawing contest".

Being gay is enough to call for a death sentence from these idiots.

Same as drawing a cartoon.

Agreed.

That leads one to question why the radical Islamists have not attacked, or at least tried, people in a state or it's legislature that has legalized gay marriage in the US.

Could it be that they don't really feel so strongly against gay marriage, or is it that homosexuals have not provoked a response from them?

Hmmm.
