LOL yourself, I am not a victim, I am not an indigenous member of any Indian tribe, I am a human being that thinks it is ridiculous for white people to think they are victims. The people that try to live here in America to try and have a better life have just as much right to be here as anyone. In fact, the Mexican people have more right to this land then any other people besides the Indians because they share common ancestry.

No there is not enough blame to go around. The Indians did not start the killing, they simply defended themselves from the savagery of the settlers that pretended to be their welcomed guest. The history books tell a very different version of events, try reading some history from the Indian side of things, I bet you find an entirely different perspective and probably one that is much more closer to the truth than the one the white men tell.

No they were called settlers when in fact they were criminals that England did not want and then they became colonists for the Crown, then they became revolutionary combatants. Then they started their own government and started writing their own laws, but before any of that they stole this land from the Indians. The illegal immigrants I speak of are the one's currently living in America that cry about other illegal immigrants, you know the hypocrites who think they know history so well?

And don't give me that crap about how native Americans didn't wipe anybody out. Many tribes thought NOTHING of killing the entire "other" tribe in war. That, or making them slaves.

Don't try and put native Americans up on some ivory tower and claim they all got along great and held hands and made love not war. They were going to war with each other long before any Europeans showed up. Difference is, Europeans made war with guns, not clubs.

Is what happened in the pursuit of manifest destiny a tragedy? Yea, it is. No argument here. But to sit there and try and pretend that the natives were "legally" holding land is absurd. "That mountain and river belong to us" said the native. "Nope" said the European. "Well we say it does" says the native. "I say it belongs to me" says the European. That's not how "illegal immigration" works.

Well then, by your own argument the white men have no legal right to claim ownership of this land. That last time I looked indigenous Indians are forced to live on reservation on land given to them by these so called benevolent white people. Of course, Indians fought each other, but the history of Indians as it pertains to them is the same as the history of medieval England and how it pertains to them. Your people? And you are? I do not write this for stars and flags, so how dare you trivialize what I wrote. It was heart felt and had a purpose, to point out those that cry about illegal immigrants are hypocrites. You may go elsewhere, I didn't force you to be here and this is my OP!

How are we hypocrites when we have had laws for as long as we have been alive? My ancestors came here legally except for the ones who were already here. You can carry around the guilt of your dead ancestors all you want, just leave the rest of us out of it.

There are many things I love about Native Americans. There is Native ancestry from both my Mother and Father's side. On one side a tribe was nearly completely wiped out, not by any white man, but by another tribe. On the other side, an ancestor married a Native American princess and lived the life of the Natives.

All white men should not carry the guilt of white men who lived long before they were even born. This became the USA, a Nation of laws. We can't send millions of people packing back to wherever you think they should go back to. Some are part Native American, some are part this that and the other thing. LOL You can't chop people up into pieces and send them back 'home'.

You say to just let anyone in? I have a friend who lost his only son because of an illegal immigrant. With laws an immigrant has a background and health check. With illegals they can be anyone, a pedophile, a murderer, a thief, or whatever. We have laws for a very good reason.

There were no immigration laws back then Kat, no one broke any laws. It is tragic what happened to the Natives, but there isn't a single thing any one of us can do about it.

I will not feel guilt being against illegal immigration. I have seen way too many negative things to ever be for it. I knew illegals personally for many years and they come right out and tell you how they scam the system, how they get a lot more by being illegal, how they have no desire whatsoever of becoming legal. I knew women who claimed they were a single income household while their husbands worked under the table and their combined incomes were well over the poverty limit. They got cheap housing, food etc. I have seen with my own eyes people who needed to provide for their families getting turned away from a job while an illegal was hired instead. I have seen an elderly woman in tears because she couldn't get help with medical because she made one or two dollars above the poverty limit, while illegals were being cared for. We have tent cities all over the USA and shelters filled to capacity. We have hungry and homeless people everywhere.

You want to see foreigners come over illegally and get taken care of while ignoring the plight of our own citizens. You just brushed them off like they don't matter by saying we always had those problems. That in itself is a problem! Our poor people DO matter and I'll be damned if someone thinks that others matter while they don't!

Granted the ratio between white attacks and Native American attacks is extreme, the Native Americans have innocent blood on their hands, too.
