My cynicism stems from too many broken promises, too many lies.

I've about had it with politicians.

If Diogenes couldn't find an honest man, what are our chances?

We pick someone we believe in. Usually someone that has some chance, we do a little work, and we hope. Pundits kept asking "How did this grassroots neighborhood organizer' (he was really a senator and attorney and really smart) become President?" He had a kickass team. The expectations were way higher than what he could ever do. I have a feeling that when one becomes president, on that first day, you learn who your boss is and a parameter of what you can do. He tried. Look at him. He fought, he aged quickly. Look at presidents in the last 20 years.

Maybe ATS can come up with someone and back him or her. I have my button next to my computer . "Fired Up, Ready To Go!" We need someone that can pull grassroots suportt. Can Rand do this? Maybe.

Dude don't get mad. I didn't ignore it I acknowledged it. Politics just like life is a game? And whether you like it or not by the hand you're dealt you are forced to play the game at the political level.

I honestly do not believe he took that action without his father's consent. I believe we will find out in the next year or so though. Are you willing to wait until you judge him?

Third party or one of your own. You've always been free to do that.

Game show hosts don't run the programming, they just announce it.

Why would I be mad? I am just explaining why I will not vote for him. It is too late for him to explain his decision back then.

There is no reason to wait as far as I am concerned he made his bed already and he can now lay in it. He crossed a line that there is no going back from.

Let's all pick one. We don't like Hillary. We should be decided that the repub round up besides Paul are all nutty. I was looking at Elizabeth Warren or Christine Gillibrand (since she is from my state). And I am sure neither will get through because of Hillary. Anyone have other ideas?

Not sure I just seem to have that effect on people.

Yah, don't vote, pay tax or sign up for military service.

If there is no one left then I will write in none of the above, but as things stand there is a long list of those I absolutely will not vote for and a short list of maybes. For the short list only time will tell if they make the long list. Come election time my vote will be counted, but I will not give it to anyone I deem unworthy.

Sadly, that's what's starting to make more and more sense.

ATS hates Rand Paul because apparently they hate someone on our side who actually has a chance to win...

The best showing for the third-party in the 20th century was 27% six states and 88 electoral votes with Roosevelt.

LOL , God Forbid American Voters Actually Care about What a Presidential Candidate such as Mr. Paul has to Say about the Important Issues that face our Country today . Government Agencies Spying on Us , The Slow Death of our once Healthy Economy , Fractal Banking Printing Worthless Paper , The Overwhelming Deficit , and the List goes on ..............

Lol

I know it's amazing how most people won't confront the issues. If this was a conspiracy site I could see a government program in mind control drilled into our head by a CIA/Mossad plot to implant the phrase " your vote doesn't count" into every fluoride riddled brain cell in American.

Oh the first day in office promises. It's become a standard political statement on the campaign trail. It's easier said than done. Can anyone even trust a politician anymore? They're so easily manipulated by corporations, lobbyists, and the people who pull the strings in government.

And they were continuously met with opposition from congress.

And I don't trust any politician really, and would never put my entire stance on one with one issue.

Cause sadly, they lie

I see where you're coming from. But I cannot make a blanket statement on every politician .

In all honesty I can't recall the last time someone made a commitment like that on their first day in office. Obama claimed he would shut Gitmo down, but I don't remember him promising to do it on his first day?

Yet many were still able to enact executive power.

Yep you've made that clear.

I answered your question earlier. You said you would answer one of my questions when I did.

So

Are you voting in the election?
