I was not defending his OP.

I was giving it the benifit of doubt as to give them a chance to go into more detail.

WOW, just WOW! Maybe be constructive and help a new member figure out what they need to do to make better threads instead of attacking and demeaning a person who is trying to bring a subject to the table. That would help make ATS better instead of people being afraid to say something or start a thread.

Thanks for posting that link. When I read it as this starting in the 60s and 70s ...so true. I know , I was there . That was an EXACT description of the way it was. I dont know who this guy is but he sure sounds like he lived the life as well .The progressive liberal party that completely overran the original true blue collar democratic party began with us.I look back now and wonder why. But it all started with the anti-war anti-pollution anti-killing the world ideals. It was a very honorable movement with peaceful protests , sit ins , et al. We started the movement to get all industry , nuclear power , steel mills you name it out of the US. We didnt need the pollution and we could still buy the products.Let another country make it for us and suffer the consequences,we did not have to. we created a monster.
