As an American I support your post. When people say they hate America, what are they referring to? The land? The people? The government?

In truth, if I had the funds to move and pass their stringent immigration laws, there are other countries I would rather live. There are countries you couldn't pay me to live in.

In essence. There are thing I hate about America There are things I don't. I don't think America is the worst country, but it isn't number one.

THAT is a huge part of the problem right there. Most of us were extremely proud of this nation long, long before Michele Obama experienced her catharsis. The funny thing is, much of what she's embraced moving forward is exactly what is causing our revulsion. I loved America before it was "fundamentally changed." Now? I certainly don't hate it, but I want my old country back.

AND we understand that Freedom has high costs. Hope is something worth living for and giving to others. Hope they too can live freely as long as the don't do harm to others. They can pursue their dreams if they do them within standards agreed upon by society in a democratic Republic. Unfortunately. our model is ancient Rome. Where after hundreds of years of reasonable rule by the people brought too much trust in leadership. They became easily corrupted leaders who through ruthless methods were able to spawn the attitudes of the gruesome Emperors after Julius Caesar. We have some parallels to that time now. How far has our "ruling" certainly un-elected and somewhat hidden true leadership gone toward their own similar moral decay?

My feelings are we may be at a tipping point with power hungry corruption that works in concert at protecting certain criminals from even being charged. Al not so Sharpton for one who is being called out for income tax evasion in the news. The entire Bush 1 &2 and Clinton era was full of this mess at higher levels than a cheap charlatan preacher who sells lies in the name of his God for a buck.

That corruption that makes irrational decisions is being felt worldwide is my observation. While we do good in Nepal and at other natural disasters from time to time, we do harm to others with unapproved wars for obscure reasons that violate our governments rules we agreed upon when forming this country about when it is a war and how to declare it properly. A corruption that has festered and now challenges our personal freedoms that America was supposed to be about is why people hate on us now. I just don't believe they hate me or people like me who are common American trying to be FREE to live life in peace and without fear of tyranny!

Hating America is old news. We've evolved to just hating the government over there. But then again, governments everywhere suck so that's just natural.

Most Americans who dissent don't hate America, they in fact love it, so much so that they hate the current American government that is radically trying to shift America from it founding values and away from liberty.

All of these countries that aren't currently on fire are circling the drain. It's all going down within a lifetime or two- what choice do we have?
