Is this the same prisoner that before had claimed he didn't hear anything? Or was there more than one?

I'm not mad in the least.

I'm sick of people jumping to conclusions based on half truths and limited information.

I'm sick of the media duping people into feeling sorry for and in some cases idolizing criminals.

I have based my opinions on the only two factual pieces of information that I have seen/heard.

1. The video of Mr Gray being arrested and loaded into the van.
2. The statements from the man driving the van and the other passenger in the van whose statements match.

I've had a toddler kicking the back of my chair while I drove my car on many occasions. I could never see the action occurring but I felt it and could hear it. I knew exactly what was occurring.

It's not a stretch to imagine Mr Gray acting like the career criminal he was and raising hell in the van while being transported. This is exactly what has been reported.

I'm not under the opinion that he deserved to die for any of his actions but the blame for his death falls squarely on his shoulders because of his actions that day.

"A prisoner sharing a police transport van with Freddie Gray told investigators that he could hear Gray “banging against the walls” of the vehicle and believed that he “was intentionally trying to injure himself,” according to a police document obtained by The Washington Post."

Yeah, they seem to have added the whole " believed that he “was intentionally trying to injure himself,”" after the fact. I sure hope one of the involved officers didn't take that statement....... Surely they couldn't be that stupid, right?

And I wonder just who "leaked" the new document, and why?

Now, see, I heard and read about that, too. But I can no longer find any video or articles about this.

Or if they asked him if he wanted to revise his statement with a deal in front of him.

If they beat him down in the van, and then told the guy to tell their tale, you think a guy in some trouble with the law would refuse? I am not sure many people would. Seeing what happened to the last guy that opposed them ending up neck broken then dead.

But yet you can jump to the conclusion that the man that could not see gray is stating facts??

How does that work?

You are operating the same way you say that you don't want people to act, it is hilarious.

Imho, I think the damage was done when he got in. He was only in for the last 6 blocks.

But ya I would cooperate in a heart beat to not get beat. Also to avoid any jail time, think it was a restraining oder violation that guy got picked up for, if he was a repeat he was looking at jail time I think.

The deputy commissioner also revealed a new detail that raises still more questions about what the officers involved have told investigators: The van carrying Gray to the police station made a previously undisclosed stop that was captured on a “privately owned camera.”

Batts and Davis said nothing more about when or how investigators obtained the previously undisclosed video or learned about the additional stop. However, five of the six officers gave statements to investigators the day Gray was injured, and as recently as a week ago, the stop was not part of the official timeline, suggesting investigators learned of it later.

So now it's four stops, and one the officers omitted, but was caught on camera? Anyone have a good source for that one?

I doubt your scenario. If I was that prisoner, and was told to lie by the police, I would tell my lawyer to go to the press and say the police told me to go along with their story, and if anything should happen to me, you know the police did it. Could it be possible that maybe the witness is telling the truth?

All the more important to be careful when arresting somebody if they have had surgery or any kind of illness /mental or physical/ no?

We still don't know what happened.

Could be that he wasn't banging around and this witness lied.

Could be that the cops had already broken his spine and he was banging around trying to get some medical attention as his life slipped away.

Easy to talk like that, if someone hasn't been murdered in front of your eyes, then threatened by the same people. I would like to think I would be able to blow that whistle as well, but maybe it would be different in real life than how it plays out in my head. He could be telling the truth, just seems convenient he added in the whole trying to injure himself bit afterwards though.

Now police are saying an additional stop was made before the driver asked officers to check on his condition. They said nothing about this stop other than its location — at what appears to be a desolate intersection with three vacant lots and a corner store.

Still trying to find a good source on that. I did find the old timeline, still trying to track down the new stop that was caught on tape though.

Well, I am tired, I give up for now. Remember, if MSM picks up on the mysterious 4th stop, omitted by the cops timeline, but caught on camera in a desolate area...... You heard it from me first lol. If not, I deny everything

Here's something interesting about this fourth unscheduled stop:

"Hwang Jung, owner of the market at the corner of North Fremont Avenue and Mosher Street, where the newly disclosed stop took place, said officers in suits came into his store last week asking to see the surveilance footage from April 12 at around 8:30 am.

"After reviewing the footage, the officers gave him their number and said two more officers would come copy the footage, which happened a few hours later, Hwang said.

"The footage was lost, he said, when the store was looted in the days after Gray's death..."

www.cnn.com...

Huh...So he lost the footage when the store was looted? Does anyone else get the feeling his store was a target?

I would not like to be Mr. Jung right now.
He saw the footage and could verify in court that they copied it and he could tell if the footage has been altered when it is used in court... IF the copy even exists any more.
He might be like an endangered species right now.
