Obviously places such as Liquor stores are going to get hit first, i also noticed a pharmacy being pilfered. Thing is people are going to need that pharmacy and now its ruined. When will people relies that you dont crap on your own doorstep.

They just declared a state of emergency and the national guard is "active".

Maybe they will move in before dark and squish it.
Hopefully people are smart enough to go indoors and stay there.

They police just pepper-sprayed a whole crowd.

And looters are swarming into a currency exchange.

They cannot shoot all of the rioters or pepper spray them even if they wanted to and unfortunately i suspect if they did some of the indigenous populace may have there own automatic weapons. Bringing the national guard in could quite possibly escalate the situation. Hopefully cooler heads prevail.

He was arrested and put in a prisoner transport van without being buckled. Some people say he was already in medical duress at that point. Then he got bounced around during the ride and suffered a spinal injury at some point.

Doubt it. I would expect most of the guard to only have non lethal weapons and shields. They'll probably have an armed over watch group and access to weapons in the event that they need them.

The guys on the line probably won't have much more than batons and pepper spray and shields.

At least that's how it was when I did riot training in the military. But I wasn't in the guard.

I see what you are saying but I can't help but feel that these kind of riots would happen even without the issues of social injustice. Think massive power outage or something like that. Opportunistic people like the ones we are watching are the same sort who flip cars and set them on fire when their favorite sport team wins a major game.

I was kind of imagining a worst case scenario should someone on ether side start shooting. Im sure you are correct they will employ the use of shields and riot gear first but i imagine any national guard units will also have M16s/Armalite weapons at there disposal should things turn nasty.

I say bring in the horses, those generally put the fear of god into anyone they charge, sort them right out.

Well he's got to make a wide swath indictment here. You know with the mini screen in the background coving the riot....as he blows off about issues irrelevant. Like background music to a standard socialist indictment rant. Not much different than sports coverage.......hooligans outside the stadium.
