Parents furious after middle school strip searches teenage girls

Parents outraged after their 13 and 15 year old daughter's were strip searched by MALE security guard at school

The incident is said to have occurred on April 7, when a 13-year-old and 15-year-old were taken to the school office following allegations of drug possession.

The San Bernardino County Sun reported that the girls were accompanied by Vice Principal of Serrano Middle School, Mrs. Shenita Stevenson, and a male security guard. At the office, the school officials told the girls to go in to a small room one at a time. The girls were then asked to remove their clothes.

Anita Wilson-Pringle, the mother of the 13-year-old, told the press that her daughter was even forced to remove her bra and shake her breasts in the presence of a male security guard. The girls also had to shake out their pants, with one who refused to do so being threatened with arrest.

The results of the search turned up two small bottles in the bag of Wilson-Pringle’s daughter, one empty and the other containing a quarter gram of marijuana. Wilson-Pringle said that the bag was unattended for some time prior to the accusation and denies that the bottles belonged to her daughter.

The daughter also reportedly denied that the marijuana was hers, and refused to sign any paperwork to that effect. She was then ticketed, the San Bernardino County Sun reports.

WTH is going on in schools where they think they're cops??? When did schools think it was ok to strip search kids? And when did they think it was ok for MALES to strip search females, whether someone one there to supervise or not! I'm STUNNED by this! I hope this school is sued to the point where this security guard is fired, the vice principal is fired. I'd bet this has been going on for some time and this isn't the first incident! I'd be curious to see how many more kids come out of the woodwork once it becomes known. Schools need to STOP this nonsense!

Indeed. I would be sitting in a cell if those were my daughters. I could guarantee that those involved would never be strip searching anyone again, though.

We passed that point long ago but it crept up on incrementally never affecting more than a few of us at any one time.
They have learned how to bleed their victims out by a thousand paper cuts.
I fear we are so divided in this country it would be impossible to unite a large enough portion of the people to make difference.
Even when we had 100,000 people in the streets of DC protesting the invasion of Iraq they didn't blink.
Heck, the national news disregarded us entirely.

What next then people, where do we go from here except in to tyranny?

The parents should be able to sue the hell out of that school for conducting a strip search of any kind without parental consent. The school should be able to look in their desks and lockers and that is it, even a backpack should be out of their reach until a parent is present.

Suppose the pot legalizers will be coming in saying kids should be able to have pot.

As far as I'm concerned the so-called "security" guard is a pedophile - an underage female was asked to SHAKE her breasts? I really hope this gets de-bunked. Not even police officers are supposed to do male on female strip search. This is a school employee.

If someone files a petition I'll gladly sign for his firing since he is PREDATOR and should be removed from the presence of children and CHARGED with a sex crime. FFS, people get ticketed and marked as a sex offender for so little as peeing in a bush in park - so THIS must CERTAINLY qualify right?

I would certainly hope so. I'll try and keep up on this story depending on media of course.

Yep, and rightfully so.

It took a whole heap of stupid to think it was okay to strip search female students... let alone with a male in the room.

OK I'll play both ways here.. first off! That security guard is a perv! The guy should have notified the parents and local law.. ( local female cop ) to do the search...
What separates security vs. Real law enforcement is.... wait for it... use of coercive force.!

Next.. drugs were found. So thanks to a perverted twist of events. Two girls will walk free. ( personally I don't care if it was marijuana.. but they were to young to be in possession .. )

So now I look at the parents.. why was THAT OK?

I guess shaking them was better than the guard grouping them but still it should have been done by female guards and the watcher not men

All 3 adults involved should be fired and charged with a crime.

I don't see how a ticket could be issued if the police themselves didn't recover the suspected drugs directly from them, anything else is hearsay.

If I'm not mistaken the security guards at Serrano junior high are off duty police and sheriff officers

I'm soo glad I don't have a daughter. There's a very good chance I would end up in prison. This just isn't right! Fathers arent supposed to end up in prison until their daughter is 16 at least. What in the wide world of sports is going on here??? Somebody find this scumbag and castrate him instantly!!!! Throw the vp in prison for facilitating this outrage!
