They have the original tapes the telemetry tapes were backup tapes on case of loss of the live feed. The originals were the televised video. This is what Houston stored. What Houston didn't know is the video before scan was better quality. Luckily the recording station noticed and had the video captured on super 8 as well. We have that tape And you do see a diffrence from the broadcast version. Not as dark so as I said go check them out.

Does this prove anyrhing well yes it does it proved it was a live recording after all if it was filmed in a studio they would have had a master to make scans from. That means the TV broadcast would have looked just like TV shows at the time.

the missing tapes are NOT the sole 1st generation copies of this material - they are BACKUPS you do realise that

further - the BACKUP tapes of other missions are availiable - so whats " wrong " with them ???????????????

Where is your copy of the missing original tapes ? A video camera pointed at a 10-inch TV monitor, is not a copy ! A copy is identical to the original tape, do you have that ?

NASA kept a lot of items under strict security like negatives, moon rocks, moon suits, moon boots, moon helmets, etc. But they did NOT bring back any of the dozens of Hasselblad cameras and they made sure to sweep up all the telemetry tapes so that the tapes could never be examined... by anyone... ever. The Defenders will always try to down play the significant loss of the Apollo 11 tapes.

14-tracks of original telemetry data, including the SSTV track, gone forever.

Ove38 I'm sure you know this already but there was/is a project to re-examine the Lunar Orbiter tapes which were saved for 50 years. The LO tapes survived half a century not because of anything NASA did. The tapes were saved by someone else.

" in 1986, the decision of whether to scrap the tapes became the responsibility of JPL archivist Nancy Evans. She decided that the tapes should be preserved. She recalled, "I could not morally get rid of this stuff". Source

Obviously, Nancy Evans had the good sense and sanity to preserve the history. Richard Nafzger, on the other hand, was the guy accepting the Emmy Award for his Apollo production it should have been Nafzger's responsibility to hold the original SSTV tapes for posterity. Instead, he just waves his hands and says Oops, we probably erased them!

Oops. NASA's moon rock audits are the source of "extreme disagreements".


Oops. Alan Bean points his expensive color television camera into a reflection of the sun destroying the innards. Not satisfied with sizzling the camera, Bean then takes a hammer and smashing it until parts are falling off!

the argument of missing tapes ONLY applies to the apollo 11 mission - so does that mean you accept the veracity of A 12 ~ 17 ? because the pack up tapes for those are availiable

lastly - your other " arguments " have nothing to do with the veracity of the apollo program

why not just have one content of poor quality and later upgraded to better quality?? why do hoax believers seem to want to believe that there was two different footages with different content?
