I dont understand, it was simple assault. It was a mob assault, but the man is walking around. Nobody died, because the good citizen was man enough to know how to handle the situation, and probably have sympathy as a father. What changed in comparison to any other violent attack throughout the day from the usual criminal procedure to illegal forced sterilization. They did not exactly hack and slash and make gooey little bits of gore all over the street.

Listen people, appeal to your logic, to your sense of reason. Just because we are typing on a screen is no reason to begin frothing at the mouth for violent fantasies of recreations of the Alamo. The lack of a personal presence in conversation is known to inhibit rational thinking when forming opinions on matter of society and social issues.

Not this bad in the eighties, people seriously you all simply forgot that there were not hi resolution cameras recording everything in the world in those times is the only thing that has changed.

That store has the poor mis fortune in being in a special spot directly across from a high school in which the surrounding communities just happen to create the right conditions for teenagers to get buck rowdy. King High school right here in Tampa at the corner of 56th and Nuccio Park just so happens to be one spot here in my city. Its a McDonalds, and most days is flooded with antsy youth that just let out of school. Many cities have a spot that is like this, but only a few are located in neighborhoods where there is a high propensity for coc aine, illegal scrips, meth abuse/distribution, homeless teens as a result of broken families (alcohol and drug abuse), and the known gang presence that capitalize from this suffering.

And once the gangs get in, and start exploiting the teens and even children, it only takes a few years to create a very deep scar in the community that will tear it apart for generations. These communities are equally represented across all demographics in varying municipalities. It seems permanent in Chicago. The simple solution if these actions cause great distress upon your daily viewing pleasure, is to make certain you elect responsible local civic leaders to address any of these issues in our own communities and prevent them from getting out of hand.

And dont forget to the people who have no problem laying waste to life when clearly there are alternatives, you still have to live in that community after all the funerals are over. Even if you feel personally at ease with your conscience about killing mis-guided youth, even your closest friends and family may not.

Just as pathetic to me are the people in this clip jumping around, celebrating and filming it.

To me these thugs should be arrested and face the stiffest adult sentencing they can. They lost the right to use being young as an excuse when they decided to be a pack of wild animals.

It's going to be a long, hot, miserable and extremely dangerous summer and I'd hope that most on ATS have long ago started their list of places to avoid in the US.

Memphis is one of those places, but there are many, many more and it might be wise if people started sharing their lists because we can't, individually, know the worst spots that should be avoided.

A lot of people seem to think that TSHTF will happen overnight. I don't think so, it seems it's happenkng NOW in slow motion. When you have this kind of thing, a mob swarming citizens, it's the break down of society, the rule of law, and personal morality. The next thing that will probably bappen is they will start targeting stores and just out and out stealing in mobs. I would really like to ask those kids what they were thinking when they did this.becuae we need to understand what is taking place here. Becuase I think it is going to get much much worse.

I would think that if the victim had shot a few of these punks, then the next time this thug gang got together, they would be armed and ready to shoot back at almost anyone indiscriminately. Actually, I'm surprised that this riffraff didn't pull a gun right off the bat.

Like another poster said here, this is a subculture. A subculture of violence and death who use beatings and intimidation as a show of force to gain power and respect on the street. Junior bad asses trying to climb the ladder of gangsta success and make a name for themselves. Unfortunately, prison and jail time only enforce this attitude and give the real gangs and Islamic extremists new recruits.

What makes you think some of them didn't have guns to begin with?

In the old days the family unit would have taken care of this type of thing, this video would have been shown to Dad, and he would use the "rod" to smarten the kid up, but that isn't politically correct today, there is no discipline at home.

Go on city data, they have crime statistics for every town as well as demographic information. It's a shame that demographics have to be a consideration but they do considering the video that was posted and the behavior we are seeing now.

I have the highest esteem for the man for not pulling out his weapon and defending his life and that of his infant child.

As long as they feel no fear of anything being done to them then they will continue and it will get worse, start with the kids and then whatever parents they have and make it clear either or both of them pay for their child's violent behaviour.

There are deprived kids of all colours in the US, sadly it seems the African American families in a lot of cases are using the old axe to grind to justify their behaviour, sorry but that's just lazy BS and an excuse to not discipline their kids and often enjoy the proceeds of the children's crimes.

I', like many am fed up with seeing some fat foul mouthed uneducated person of whatever colour living exclusively on benefits while the partner IF they exist also fails to work telling every other law abiding person that their thieving drug dealer gun toting thug is 'an angel'.

There MUST be a clamp down but at the same time we you have Police officers caught shooting unarmed people in the back, personally I'm starting to think the Escape from New York sealed in thug city isn't such a bad idea, to be honest I can almost start seeing it become a semi reality.
