That sort of behavior doesn't surprise me at all. "kids" aren't the same "kids" they were 20-30 years ago. Anyone who would claim otherwise are blind or simply just don't have the sense to know/see it. Maybe it's both.

The man has good self control, and those children are very lucky. The saddest thing, is that the man probably was justified in using his weapon to protect himself and his child. And if he did, the families of those children shot would have blamed him and made every excuse as to why he was wrong, instead of accepting that their darling children were comitting a crime.

According to the news report, those kids would be called preppies.
Prep academies seem to have gone way downhill since I was a kid.

Savages need to be sterilized. This guy showed more restraint than me. There is not much you can do against that many, but he did have a gun, just saying.....I would have shot them. Not to maim, but to kill. What if they would have killed his baby "by accident"?

I would go to the prep school the next day no matter what else and at least start a witch hunt and have those kids start serving detention. THEN once I found out who they were I would sue them separately. I would tell the school to find out so as to avoid a lawsuit against them personally, then after telling sufficient lies, I would sue them into poverty.

We need to start forced sterilizations.

There are kids locally who can be seen throwing up a "gang sign" and I think "really? you are from a farming community" not exactly what I would call URBAN but, pop culture has made these things seem cool.
If my children were ever involved in something heinous as this, the court system would be the least of their worries!

Also I've linked the school's website although, I'm not sure it can be blamed entirely on the school as they would most likely cite the Superintendent's position that "it is caused by poverty, etc."
I'm not sure I believe that children get out of school and think, "I'm poor so I'm going to go and beat the crap out of somebody!". There have been 9 assaults in the area since the first of the year...

I had a real WTF moment when I saw that, it was disgusting that so many could get sucked in to behave that way. It seems it's getting to the point where a .44 just won't cut it anymore. Maybe it's time to get a permit for a mini-gat.

My solution is death penalty for all of them. Hit the reset button on that gene pool.

Consideration and respect is not in the vocabulary of teens today. They're followers, and are easily persuaded to join in poor and violent behavior. Whether it's immoral reality shows, violent lyrics in hip hop music, poor role models or lack of parenting, the kids today are out of control.

Unless government gives back parental rights to discipline their children, we will continue to see youth engage in violent crime like this. Simply put, today's kids have no fear of consequences.

Sooner or later somebody's gonna say, "Enough!"

And, I've got a funny feeling 'the action' will speak louder than that word.
