Firstly Thank you all so much for your overwhelming support

Ross made it through the night (my time)

I now have a bit more info, he has 2 punctured lungs and can't maintain his blood pressure, so his breathing and blood pressure are being maintained artificially. He will undergo more surgery today but they don't want to look at his chest until he is stronger.

He'll be kept in an artificial coma for now, the next 48 hours are critical for him,

I am so sorry to hear the news. I will definitely be sending energies of peace, love, strength and healing to you and your family.

I'll keep him close in my thoughts. I hope luck shows her better side for him.

Thoughts and prayers go out to your cousin and all concerned. I will ask my wife to have her church pray as well . It worked for me . Sometimes certain happenings in life do make a person wonder if there is a "God" out there that does listen.

My dear ATS friends (well more of a family really)

What can I say ?

I can say this, whatever your personal beliefs, which ever your God, and whether you choose to believe or not.

Ross is making progress

Very slow progress, but progress none the less, Ross is now merely heavily sedated He can definitely hear and he stuck his tongue out at his sister today, so no change there LOL (Although how you do that on a respirator is beyond me). He has severely damaged ribs and some fractured discs in his back.

Tomorrow they will operate again, and hope to re-inflate his lungs.

I don't know which higher power/healing source or whatever it's all coming from, but I believe our combined efforts are making a difference, and for that I can't express my, or indeed my family's gratitude enough.

This is directly from his very, very tired mum, my favourite cousin.

Ross Haines update.
Surgery on left arm and his right hand scheduled for tomorrow. If stable they will try to take him off the ventilator. But all looking good so far. Please keep the prayers and good wishes coming in, we are so grateful to you all and can feel the love.

Yeah he's a fighter he's got the same genes as me LOL

To say I'm less worried would be a lie, I've seen too many last minute recoveries relapse in my life, but I am a hell of a lot more optimistic now, and that counts for a hell of a lot. The best thing is he seems to still be Ross in his head.

Ross is in surgery at the moment, I don't expect to hear anything for a while, but I'll keep you all posted as and when I hear.

Tuff times and some people hide under a rock. You reached out and that kid now has more support than he knows. It's what we are here for.

Still praying that he continues to improve. I'll be watching for his progress here.
