Thanks for all the congratulations and please forgive my rudeness for not replying individually, I have a LOT to finish before Friday if contracts are to be met, so I'm working like a steam train. I could say stuff it and let it ride, but I'm not that sort of guy. If I made a promise to finish my work, I will do my damnedest to do so.

Even if it means going in unpaid on Saturday, my word is my bond.

The new job is basically making furniture that resembles art, be it corporate or for someone's home, I'm being taken on with a view to running the team of the best cabinet makers they have, they need a leader and think I will fit the roll very well.

It's great to see you taking such an active roll in Ashley's life bro, there are very few I would ask to look after my kids, should the worst happen but you'd be on that list. I'd never presume to tell you how to raise Ashley that would about as hypocritical as I could get.

RE: The martial arts.....................Just a thought, I'm trained in Krav Maga (I would not recommend that for your boy, it's far to violent), but if you watched a few Steven Seagall films together you might get him interested in Aikido, I'm quite a small guy, so using Aikido suits me down to the ground. But if you get him interested in it through a few films it may just spark an interest

I could never have done it without Night Star's help!

She helped me every step of the way, and put up with all my annoying questions, etc.!!

She had my ghost do things that then gave me ideas (like the stolen gems,)

I was tempted to steal the necklace from under the tree,
but instead I thought of writing about needing to find something!
It worked out well with the part about Night Stars gems.

I watched a movie last night that reminded me SO much of The Shed (my version of The Shed, that is...)!!
It's called "Seventh Son".
Not the storyline, but definitely some of the characters and much of the imagery.

There are human forms that shape-shift from human to dragon.

There is a scene of a trip through a magical forest, complete with 'wisps' (evil)...mentioned in the earlier version of The Shed.

The Queen Witch (Julianne Moore) lives in a home...the rooms are like what I envisioned for The Shed and the Big House (Jane's house, lol). There is a scene where she sweeps her hand and the entire room becomes something like what we described. In fact, all the rooms are like what we wrote about.

You need to watch it, to see what I mean. It's not a great movie, but I found much of it to be Shed-like. (I did love the special effects.)

No elves or pixies, but lots of magical creatures (mostly evil though).

If you get a chance to watch it, let me know if you think "Shed" story....?

I have never written a thing before, (except in Night Stars Enchanted Forest thread, again inspired by Night Star!) and I couldn't even imagine being able to. Night Star helped every step, I could not have done it without her help, and her kindness!

And her patience, lol!

OMG what a horrible day!

I don't even know where to begin, some I would rather not post online. So please excuse the rambling but I need to get this off my chest somehow.

Problems they were having with one of my co-workers has somehow spun around and bit me on the A$$. And the worse part is I have no say; but it may take part of my pay! My supervisor is going to a meeting to discuss everything with those "above" him but I don't hear anything until after. I am currently taking PTO time because that is the only way I can survive my sanity. They are supposed to know something by Friday so it looks like I have a week's vacation. But now I am struggling with the question, do I stay or do I go? This could go one of two ways. 1. The bosses side with me; but my direct supervisor let it get this far. Where was his backbone to be a supervisor and get nasty when he needed to. Instead its now over his head and we are all left looking like idiots. 2. The bosses lay blame on all of us equally; there is ONE person out of a small group that has done nothing and always misses work. HIS projects have gotten WAY behind. If that's how the team works, I don't think I want to be on that team.

Sorry I just really can't say much so I don't have many to vent to. Just feeling frustrated. Up until 3 months ago, I had my dream job. One bad apple is ruining EVERYTHING.

OMG Syx, my old thread from 2013 The Enchanted Forest...I had completely forgotten about it!!!!! People stopped posting and I was dreadfully disappointed. I am so impressed with the writers in there and all the interesting characters and story line. Wow! Thanks for reminding me!

My new babies!!! In the video, my new fish is the second kind they tell you about you, not the skinny ones you see first. I have a pink, a purplish, a yellow and a really deep dark pinkish one for now. They are just gorgeous! I don't have the special lighting to make them glow, but they are still colorful and beautiful! Expensive little things!! They had a buy 3 get one free sale going on. At first I chided myself for spending so much on a few fish, but now that I have been watching them a while I am soooo happy with them!
