I could never get into the Dune books for some reason. It just didn't keep my attention. Someone mentioned Arthur C Clarke and I have quite a few of his books and love them! I'm with you Jacy, a big Science fiction fan! Yeah a trecky and all that. Live well and prosper!

I think I'll watch the Exorcist. It's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

It is beautiful here again, windy though...
Rain moving in for the ENTIRE weekend...oh well...rain is good for the earth...most times.

I had a really awful nightmare last night. I laid down to watch a program (dual survival) that I'm not really fond of this season. I fell asleep right away. About an hour later (I didn't think you could go into dream state that fast!) I woke up from the most wicked, twisted, scary dream...It really shook me up. Anyway...

Today is my sister's birthday. She is 82. She and her partner just sold their old home and purchased a new one...exciting times for them! I went on FB (UGH!!!!!) and wished her a Happy Day...I feel a little guilty but, at least I remembered, right?!

That's part of it. The pea soup and spinning head. The whole "You're gonna die up there" thing is funny too.

I like Amityville Horror too, both the original and remake. Both are good for a laugh, even though I lived in houses freaky as that one.

The little girl's name was Heather O'Rourke. She died. That's a good movie too but I don't like the remake. None of the characters in the remake are even remotely likable.

OK guys now you are talking my kinda talk. Chocolate cake and scary movies!!! My first scary movie was Halloween, the original movie. I was around 5 years old and thought it was the greatest thing EVER!! I was hooked from then on. LOL

Chirp - I hope that you are able to find something that everyone can get into this weekend. I know that hiking has worked well, maybe a rainy day hike. LOL So sorry to hear about your nightmares, they are so draining sometimes.

Night - I hope your back is holding up. I know that all of this work upstairs is taking a toll on you

Skid- I LOVE this avatar!!! The book was cool but this one just seems to "fit" Oh and wasn't there something about a bunch of cast members dying or something? I know that the little girl is dead.

Today we bought our new home it's larger than we dared hope and cheaper than we thought. We are truly over the moon and even have 2 gardens for growing our own food
