So you know all of this before the official investigation has been completed? From someone with an OBJECTIVE mind, anyone could've brought that plane down, accidently or not.

Well let's look at the facts shall we...

MH 17 was shot down over separatists control...

Most damage was behind the cockpit...

MH 17 was flying east over Ukraine...

The separatists bragged about having a BUK system...

Ukrainian military planes have been shot down in the same area only days before...

The facts are pretty clear, and nowhere did I say they shot it down intentionally.

So I have to ask if the separatists don't have planes to fight Ukraine why would they have their BUK systems operating in that part of the conflict?

But now Ukraine does have planes which is a good incentive for the separatists to use a BUK.

And if it was a deliberate act then, and once again from someone with an OBJECTIVE mind, I fail to see exactly what Russia would have to gain from it.

I don't think many people think it was done intentionally, and that includes Russia. I also don't think Russia is guilty of the shooting, but is guilty of being an accessory after the fact by helping to remove it from the war zone.

How does this BUK system just move freely in separatists territory in which the Ukrainian army would have to have been to shoot the plane down?

I think it would be wise to wait for the reports and all available evidence to be compiled and released.

Within a week of the event the Ukrainian government suggested that it had evidence that the Russian government planned to shoot down one of it's own passenger jets in order to blame Ukraine and immediately start the invasion. The rebels apparently hit the wrong plane.

This is not the kind of accusation you make lightly, so it can be expected that any evidence they have to support this would be considered in the final conclusions.

Regardless, the evidence currently available is mounting up against Russia and their rebels. All Russia has is the accusation that it was a Ukrainian fighter, when the damage to the plane does not support that in any way. So, it's going to be a matter of the available evidence, and unless Russia can offer something more than "they did it!" as a response, I think it's pretty clear where the blame is going to land.

No doubt, when the Dutch prove that is was a buk by testing the holes made by the BUK shrapnel, in effect looking for traces of the warhead embedded in the craters and puncture holes on a microscopic level

The US did it, as they sent operatives to Ukraine dressed as Russian soldiers using a Russian BUK.

That should just about cover it.

I would be happy the investigation found what I thought, but the many innocent people lost are a long way from any justice.

I'm still leaning towards accident. If it was just a TEL it wouldn't necessity have target identification methods to tell them it was a commercial aircraft.

I'm still leaning towards the accident angle myself. I was more just referencing those people who over the past few days have been saying that it being an accident absolves the perpetrators of responsibility.

Funny how quickly people's tunes change. It wasn't long ago that people on here were ready to string up Ukraine for this tragedy. Even those who argued it was an accident. Now that we have officials saying the evidence shows a Russian BUK was the weapon used those same people are trying their darndest to excuse the actions of the perpetrators.

Russian made BUK doesn`t say anything about the perpetrators...

- Ukraine had the most of them and had very poorly trained troops, and being lead by the US had one of the best motives (EU countries weren`t going along with more sanctions)

- There are rogue elements in the Ukraine who could have done it (to try and force something, because the War went already very bad back then, or same reason as above (orders from the US))

- The Separatists had only one BUK (no motive at all, and probably just a mistake)

- Russian (also no motive and much likely too well trained)

Besides, we don`t even know if the reporter actually found those particles at the crash site, they have been coming up in regular intervals with very one sides reporting in the whole matter, and SBU (Ukrainian Secret Service) has been handing out false evidence from the beginning.

All involving parties have Russian military equipment, no one thinks it was probably a F-15 or a Patriot System.
