Females: Why do you wear make-up?

Just because I prefer a woman to have no makeup on, doesn't mean I wouldn't consider dating a woman I meet just because she's wearing makeup. Like you said, there's no way around it. Makeup addiction is here to stay.

That being said, I think you might just be attracted to idealistic & controlling men

I would think most men prefer women wearing some makeup, just as they think a woman in high heels is sexy.

Personally, I hate women in heels. & it's not a height issue, I just find it to be an unnatractive & horrendous look.

Some women are beautiful with or without make-up. But you have to be honest, sometimes make-up gives that added wow factor in a guy's eyes. The side-by-side here really brings out this young ladies eyes. I guess it really comes down to the eye of the beholder.

Im hard pressed to decide which of those pictures she looks worse in.

I guess I would say, while I don't find her that attractive (as she really is, on the left), the picture on the right is worse. I truly despise the application of makeup in all forms.
It doesn't even look like her on the right.

Interestingly, both men and women, in ancient Egypt, wore make up.

EXACTLY!!!!!
Some women can do it, and good for them, but I can't. I am also to much of a tomb boy still, even at my age. I don't have time to waste putting it all on my face.
Plus I'd end up wiping it on my sleeve, getting it on my clothes, ect.


I managed to find two guys to marry me without it, so I don't think I'm totally atrocious.

I seriously hate make-up.. I saw my lil sis wearing it the other day on her face and I just thought.. Come on girl ya gotta let those pores breath!!!! I didn't say this cause she's 14 and oh I should've.. I will when I see her next.
I just can't stand for my face to be lathered in a base that's not even my color of skin. I'm super pale hehe.. I don't like to tan, I want my skin looking youthful. So I feel makeup just ruins my skin color.

I will wear eye liner and mascara and red lipstick when I go out..sometimes. It really depends on my mood but then I usually end up wiping my eye and messing it up! Hahaha!! So then I have to just remove it anyway..

So the reason it wear eye liner and mascara is cause it does make my eyes pop. And red lipstick is just so fun to me. It goes well with my cat eye glasses I wear

Sidenote: im rather particular about women, & really dislike blonde hair with dark roots.

Face paint? I never was a regular wearer, & haven't used makeup any but a few times to control being reflecto face in a few pictures (a few dabs of powder, in other words) I really can't stand the crap, it, like for Dollukka, makes my face itch, it always has. Not the kind of itch everyone always thinks & proceeds to recommend more overpriced face paint to try to remedy it with, it's the "this shouldn't be on here!" kind of skin itching. And I can't stand the sensation, it feels like I need to wash my face even with powder, constantly. It's also a guarantee for pimples for me. I'll pass on those, not worth it.

My mother has always been vain & always plasters her make-up on even if she never steps outside, "If the house burns down or I have to call the paramedics, I want to look nice for the responders! < wink >" They're on the job, I highly doubt they give a crap if you have makeup on, let alone want to flirt, sheesh.

As a woman, I think she has too much eye makeup on in the right hand picture. She's still an attractive girl in both pictures but, she over did it a bit on the eye liner and mascara. Just my opinion.

If a woman chooses to wear make up or not is her choice. If it makes her feel better about herself then go for it.

Personally, I never wear any eye make up. I hate eye liner and eye shadow and was blessed with long dark eye lashes so, I don't need mascara.

One thing I cannot go without is chap stick though! Gotta have my chap stick.
