But this is Cali ... the land of the oh-so-compassionate progressives ... I guess they all voted for a welfare state so these people have no reason to be homeless. After all, every single one of the people in that church not only got taxed to within an inch of their life to pay for a large state welfare system, including Obamacare in all its phases (so their health care is FREE), but they also must surely tithe to the Catholic Church so there are Catholic Charities available for the homeless too.
So of course those homeless folks have plenty of places to go and state programs available to them.

How very Christian!
I'm not religious one iota, but several parts of the Christian bible teaches how to treat the homeless. Let's have a look what our good friend Leviticus had to say on the matter!
Leviticus 25:35-36 ESV / “If your brother becomes poor and cannot maintain himself with you, you shall support him as though he were a stranger and a sojourner, and he shall live with you. Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God, that your brother may live beside you.
Another example of "Cafeteria Christians".
So we're quoting Leviticus now? Who would've thunk it lol.
James 1:26-27 ESV / If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

But she has absolutely nothing to do with this.

I too have been homeless, relying on the kindness of others but it was back in the time when there seemed to be more empathy for the poor and sick. My homelessness was a direct of my alcoholism and it was a rough road back to sanity.
I have opened my home to other homeless alcoholics as well; sometimes they sobered up and sometimes they didn't and ripped me off. I still help my fellow man when I can; usually financially as I have been blessed with abundance beyond my wildest dreams.

Then give them a home. Give them shelter and food as stated in the bible.
How can you demonise all homeless people? You know nothing about their situation, why they are homeless in the first place.
There are over 18 million vacant properties in the US and 633,000 homeless folk. Do the math!

Great idea. Let's reward failure and a lifetime of bad decisions with free houses. --rolls eyes--
