If President Obama had pulled a stunt like this in 2012 it would have not been forgotten and it would have caused him to lose the election. A world leader of a superpower nation going missing for 11 days without an explanation is a big news story, and it should not be written off as being a hoax. People who think that way are people who are ready to belong to a dictatorship where the actions of leaders go unquestioned.

Let the Russians dismiss this as a hoax. But as Americans we should not.

I've had the news on all morning. Not a peep. Like this story only exists within the halls of ATS, the world doesn't seem to give a .....

I can't wait to see if they even mention him missing. I can't imagine any other world leader being gone for so long. Can you see the headlines if it was Obama? Even when on vacation or anywhere else, we get pictures. I think the fact that he was "completely out of sight" AND the fact that they were putting out FAKE pictures makes this a huge news story!

I know I sure am, the last few pages of this thread have made my Monday morning pretty freaking hilarious..LOL! Couple times I was laughing so hard I was in tears, people at work were like "what's wrong with you?" had to tell them I found a funny news article.

They reported it on CNN International and CBSN (via Roku). They mentioned the mystery surrounding his disappearance and that no one knew where he was. They didn't mention flu. They just mentioned the rumors.

So they have dropped the flu bit about him missing? If I had the flu for 10 days I wouldn't think I would look as normal as he did in the pics they released this morning.

Putin is back in Moscow and in front of the TV cameras.

There is a difference between speculation and outright hysterical clickbait fantasies. Speculation is all well and good as long as it's based on something. The speculation here was pretty absurd, and ATS was willing to capitalise off of it all the way.

This thread's speculation was crazy, and ATS used it for what many would define as clickbait.

Indeed, but he was shown disrespect by not only other members here, but staff as well. It's not about Phage being a 'big boy', it's about the attitudes shown here towards him. This is not the ATS of old. It's not how i remember it. He deserves an apology, especially considering the outcome of this thread.

I get that but why then when little man Jung Ung disappeared its all they could talk about, yet when the sexy bear wrestling, ninja, cradle robber and dictator of a super power everyone is mum? Seems pretty odd no? Like bewildering....
