Is this planned to be aired live, in 30 minutes? My only concern is the possibility of pre-recorded footage being released. Russian state media released reports about this meeting before it even happened... so I hope that whatever is aired, can be confirmed as live footage.

I took that Phage was saying people here were taking some things as factual, with some shady sources, and he was reinforcing the fact we don't know yet…hence supporting the "Rumor" angle of the thread title. I didn't see him suggesting we don't try to sleuth it. Just the sources so far still didn't justify the conclusions some were making.

That was just my read of his posts, I won't try to speak for him.

Russian journalist Ksenia Sobchak has reportedly left the country after warnings she and other political dissidents may have become the targets of planned contract hits similar to the murder of Boris Nemtsov, a news report said.

If this is true we may be seeing a 'political cleansing' and not a coup.

Okay she's told us when she'll leave…tomorrow. Why doesn't she tell us the flight too while she's at it? If she's afraid of being taken out, why the public pronouncement and the departure day? Either this is grandstanding or she isn't too smart.

True, but I'm confident there are many "experts" who could discern the difference between a pre-recorded message and an actual live feed rather quickly. If a live feed was confirmed, no doubt some would still scream fake, but what can you do...

If the info is correct than logic would tend to favor that Putin is clearing house. Putin isn't yet able to rule be decree. But if he puts his puppets in the key role of Prime Minster and Prosecutor General he will effectively consolidated his power. By 2020 Russia's military modernization programs will be finished . Putin will have eliminated any opposition to his regime and it will only be a matter of time before Russia goes to war against NATO.

New tweets, lots of them, that a Russian government aircraft, often used by Putin (but not exclusively) has landed in St. Petersburg just moments ago.

Is there any information about Putin cancelling his appointments at the last notice ? i am sure he has his agenda filled with meetings over 9 days time span , did any information surfaced about this ?

I don't think any of those aircraft are the Russian presidential plane. Those are Tupolev Tu-204. While some government officials use the TU-204, I don't think the president does. If I'm not mistaken, the Russian presidential aircraft is the
IL-96-300PU. Maybe Zaphod can chime in if I'm wrong when he sees this.

If the IL-96-300PU flies into St. Petersburg, my ears will definitely be perked.
