The fire could have been intentional to turn eyes away from the Kremlin.

Who knows what may be happening there now.

Thanks. I have no access to video clips or live feeds as I'm at work. All I had to rely on was pictures. :-(

Okay, so let's say the building being on fire is a coincidence... now why are the camera feeds offline?

Was there coincidentally (or not coincidentally) something in the Kremlin to hide, or...?

ive been watching the cam on and off all day, happened to have a look and saw a huge fire but no flashing lights, then within 5 mins whole of the kremlin was surrounded and then cam went down through increased traffic most likely, make no mistake, it is a very big blaze with loads of debis and sparks coming off.

According to this map, there are 2 fires? But both appear to be the same building, so must be an error.

russia.liveuamap.com...

When you click on the fire icons, even though they are in different locations, they take you to pics of the same fire on the right.

According to wiki:

Novodevichy Convent, also known as Bogoroditse-Smolensky Monastery (Russian: Новоде́вичий монасты́рь, Богоро́дице-Смоле́нский монасты́рь), is probably the best-known cloister of Moscow. Its name, sometimes translated as the New Maidens' Monastery, was devised to differ from an ancient maidens' convent within the Moscow Kremlin. Unlike other Moscow cloisters, it has remained virtually intact since the 17th century. In 2004, it was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

March 15, 2015, a fire destroyed part of the convent.

Those 2 towers are not the same. Also one picture has white walls surrounding the property and the other has red walls. The 2nd picture is in fact the Kremlin.

Here is another cam on that tower: wxyzwebcams.com...

But this one also appears to be broken now. As it's been only showing the image of a smoking tower for the past few minutes.

And another pic, doesn't appear to be that intense anymore:

I don't know..the way I read that is that it was designed to differ from a different convent in the Kremlin not that it was located in the Kremlin.

The top 2 pics are clearly the same but the third one is very different, just look at the shape of the domes for starters,

It's definitely not Ivan that's on fire!
It's Novodevichy monastery, surrounded by WHITE walls, as seen in the many photos, and not surrounded by RED walls, as Ivan is at the Kremlin.

Everyone who thinks that the fire is within the Kremlin is.....wrong.

The convent tower is burning quite a distance away. Probably nothing to do with anything, and I, personally, am not at all worried about anything happening there. Will work out fine.
