These tendencies in persuasive communication can be understood as a reflection of an underlying conspiracist worldview in which the details of individual conspiracy theories are less important than a generalized rejection of official explanations.
In this view, conspiracy belief is not about believing in particular alternative theories, but in disbelieving in whatever the official story is. This tendency has been informally noted by Dean (2002), who described most conspiracy theories as “bits and pieces without a plot… [that] fail to delineate any conspiracy at all. They simply counter conventional narratives with suspicions and allegations that, more often than not, resist coherent emplotment” (p. 92). Likewise, Clarke (2007) observed that conspiracy theories are often extremely vague, particularly in the Internet age.

Not a Ct as such but I am going out on a limb and saying the story of Adam and Eve.
As a non Christian I found it pretty hard to see the "truth" in the story.

oooo good question OP.
I think mine would probably be the idea of the existence of our ancestors having beenvisitedcreated by ET's.
I used to think it was totally bonkers, now I think its one of the more interesting conspiracies out there.

Yes, Adam and Eve is a stretch for a modern Christian. One professing the faith (I am not a Christian) has to see the story as an allegory tale, not as a real story.

I have lost the research now but it was actually reading about the way the modern bible was translated and that the word dust meant something along the lines of "tiny things that can not be seen"
I thought that to simple folks what we might call something like atoms would be incomprihensible and that maybe dust would be as small as you could explain.
Then start talking about eve being made from a part of adam, ie cloning then the same thing, what part "errr.. a rib, it was a rib dave now just listen to the story"
It made the whole ancient alien thing a bit more plausable.

I agree wholeheartedly. I beleive we were created, likely using modified DNA of off-world visitors. It perhaps explains how ape-man evolved so quickly.

I'd have to say...
Just a couple of years ago there was a video of a "secret service agent" (?) who said he had evidence of Michael Jackson's murder...
Even had what sounded like one of MJ's last phone calls...
I'll try and find the video...
Anyways it was meant to be released piece by piece...
But after that first video, I haven't heard anything since.
Back soon with the upload.
m.youtube.com...
Upload won't work....
But the link does.
Anyone else want to try and embed the video?
Probably won't work!
Dude that was a fake thing made up to get people to watch the next video which was just a music video. He even had a web site with a count down to the release of the second video before it was uploaded. I know this cuz i too thought it was real when it first got uploaded. But its fake, just so you know.
None of your business. But what makes you think I don't believe any of it?
Considering this is pretty much a ct site, why are you here if you don't believe any of it?
Which of your beliefs have I questioned? But is there something bad about questioning?
And if you do,then why are you questioning me on my beliefs?
What is the craziest conspiracy, or so you thought, when your first heard it. And what caused you to think maybe this ain't so crazy after all.

David Icke's theory about child sex abuse running rampant in British upper echelons of society always made me laugh as a wild conspiracy theory.
TODAY, the British Home Secretary (kind of like the US Attorney General) Theresa May announced a wide ranging investigation, and said that previous allegations are only "the tip of the iceberg" regarding widespread sex abuse cases.
