Bing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for that post,

See in order to tag porn an addiction, they are going to make it a mental disease so big pharma can make a pill for it.

Yes I been sarcastic.

Don't get me started on that one, if the oestrogen content of milk is thirty times what it used to be , no wonder men need pills to get the job done, either that or get a new hairstyle, and frock.

I don't like 'porn' in the classic sense. I enjoy looking at nude and non-nude females from time to time because women are beautiful, but I don't want to see two people 'in the act'.

Yes I agree, the female form is definitely the most beautiful thing, the problem is they know it.

lol, Porn is actually nightmare bad for you, the science is altogether too well in on the subject. Your brain can't distinguish between it and reality and in the end it's way too much of a stimulus in the brain the way we can receive it now via internet and with the ease and amounts (not to mention it's tandem use with various forms of dope) It's really not unlike using too much coc aine.

This issue will of course get wound up with debate about morality and the whole "sex Good or Bad" nonsense, of course "watching porn" isn't "wrong" it does however have a powerful as hell effect on the mind via current delivery system. 2500 images of all sorts of stuff you will never get to do delivered via slide show every night will screw up your response to normal stimulation absolutely, there can be no argument. Get used to drinking 5 cups of coffee a morning then switch to decaf and see how that goes... you ain't going no where. Likewise Boys are loosing their boners as young as 19-20

Your sex drive is just like anything else, over use it it breaks, like everything else this has become the "norm" because of population control agendas

Oh, my god you are soo right, Matusalem and many ancient men in the bible that were able to reproduce well into their old age of hundreds of years (as per bible accounts) and with many women as they had wives and concubines, these ancient men are making modern men look like weaklings that now needs littler pills to keep Mr. happy awake, even if it means getting blind in the process.

What a shame.

We truly coming a long wayyyyy.

I have mixed feelings about porn......first of all I believe most of the women in porn movies are not really enjoying what they are doing... It looks like most of them are more worried about getting physically hurt than anything. Also pleasure resides in the mind and porn focuses strictly on the physical stimulation of the body.

About the only thing good i can say about porn is it will allow humanity to get beyond its infatuation with the flesh quicker than keeping everything in the closet. Eventually we will understand what works and what doesn't....as far as bringing contentment and satisfaction.

OK, so let's say you are the unfortunate person who is porn/sex addicted and you're trying to quit. You know what they tell you to do ... that's completely stay away from the substance you are addicted to. How do you do that as a sex addict?

The answer is that short of living in a stone cell in a monastery somewhere, you're pretty much SOL.

So, yeah, I can see this as much more damaging and dangerous as most other kinds of addiction.

That's a very good point, but does an addict have a free will to choose. Its debatable when hooked.

Modern porn is far more dangerous than "retro" or "70's" porn.

And less hairier....

All I know is that people keep coming out theseas sex addicts days. And it's a recognized thing that needs therapy and treatment.

Many women and men have become somewhat recreational about sex then there is what i like to call the H3 so its no longer safe imho.

Herpes, Hepatitis C, or HPV-That in itself is a real erection killer.

That remains debatable and yet the addiction stems from within the individual and the stimulus only serves to bring it to light. I feel strongly that our need for porn mostly stems from our own feelings of inadequacy or maybe lack of acceptance or the need to feel physically fulfilled without the fear of commitment. It is although a dead end road in my own estimation. It would be great if we could somehow evolve to the point that we could enter into non-physical sex through a higher plane of awareness. Then we could engage in it with unlimited partners and not have all of the problems created by the flesh...such as jealousy, broken homes, and disease.

Hey, I like porn! There's really nothing wrong with it for the average person, but like anything else for people with addictive personalities, it has the potential to be someone's vice. I'm not going to lock myself in a room with a DVD or computer to squeeze in a right-hand date, but other people have that fault. It DOESN'T mean we need to regulate or shun it because some people simply cannot control themselves or get the help they need to learn how to do so. Basically, don't go punishing folks like me for the addictions of others. That isn't fair at all.

I didn't see anyone talking about banning anything except the reactionaries who assume that anything bad being said about it was a call to ban it.

I think the focus of the thread was to talk about what kind of damage excessive porn could potentially pose. Is it worse for an addict than hard drugs?

There is so much to this, I wouldn't know how to really transmit all of my thoughts on the matter. First: dangerous to whom? The individual? Society? One of the genders in particular? Humanity as a whole? Think of all the things surrounding each one of these four. You could write an essay on each, and still have an incomplete picture.

So I have to back out of all of that, and look to the more practical questions. Will it ever go away? Should there be any attempt to control it? Does it really matter? What of it's reverse: How beneficial is modern Porn?

To each their own.

I would say dangerous in that it damages the ability of the addict to have a normal sexual relationship.

Well that's not modern porn, that's addiction to porn. At what point is one an addict?

Is the point of everyone's life to have a normal sexual relationship? What is a normal sexual relationship?

Is it best to have influences which help to curb rise in population? Is it best to intervene in our cultural and social evolution which intertwines with the entertainment industry?

Who is it a danger to, again? If there are people who seek to have a normal sexual relationship, yet are in some way denied this over spanking it too much, then those individuals have an issue. I don't think this is about modern porn as a whole.

Well, it seems to me that if my partner were someone who is unable to have a normal sexual relationship thanks to sexual addiction ... it might become a danger to me.
