Reminder: Ever since Global Warming (AKA Climate Change) has been a topic of discussion and debate, there have been countless people who without fail, every single winter, proclaim Climate Change to be a huge hoax because their toes get cold.

You're not unique or clever in saying such.

Another reminder: Weather != Climate

Where are the dead polar bears?
Why isn't Manhattan flooded?

Obama's science czar co-authored a book in the 1970's that told us the US could not support a population of 220 million people. He may be wrong on that one, seeing that the population exceeds 300 million and half of them are supported by the other half.

In the meantime, Gore has made hundreds of millions of dollars selling his snake oil.

Alternative energy is snake oil?
Huh. Well, it isn't petroleum anyway. And it does go to show that there is money to be made in innovation.

Except that Gore isn't an innovator. Gore is the Billy Mays of global warming.

He's also a massive hypocrite... preaching about carbon emissions while living in a 20-room mansion with a $30,000 annual utility bill.

We tried solar it was very expensive, we never sold a dime of extra wattage to the local utility, the batteries (ah er solar cells) didn't last 8 months and we had to buy new ones, then a step up transformer went out and the warantee didn't cover it.

We went back to our local power co-op and are back on the grid but at least we have stable electricity.

Solar is really a joke. It doesn't work

It is sneak oil, that is for sure, but latest generations had forgotten that the American mighty dollar "make you holler" is backed up by oil.

So when it comes to pushing the green agenda is just to make money in the propaganda and scaring the middle east into increasing production and having the speculators push for lower prices at the pump when they become too naughty.

Meanwhile green alternative and global warming is doing what the profiteers wants, fatten their pockets while the scaremongering of a steaming earth get the population in a mental frenzy.

Seriously, residential solar panels are an alternative. They work, I feel its vastly superior to solar farms and it keeps the "power" in the hands of the citizen.

I honestly don't have a problem with it, but I work for a living, have 4 kids(two in college) and the government will not buy me anything, much less put a giant roof on my house to hold all of the solar panels that it would take to heat my house in the winter.

Occurs before Gore global warming starts to cook us.

Dont get me wrong, I don't believe its the answer for the world, but the proper system can be highly efficient. The battery arrays have always been bunk, Im sorry you were taken in...

But dont misunderstand, I am no fan of Gore and his brand of alarmism

This is what Al Gore says he was predicting, but if you watch his movie, you will see that he was speaking about the rising sea levels caused by the melting (and BREAKUP HA HA HA) of Greenland and polar ice.

Probably not, according to the quote from your link:

(On a call with reporters Wednesday, a NOAA climate expert said that they do not believe the stranding increase is tied to climate change.)

Considering America's crumbling economy and society, do you really think that guy is so wrong? Correlation does not necessarily equal causation, but it's certainty interesting to think about.

This is my favorite Gore quote.

It puts the rest of his rhetoric in context.

Stretching the truth is necessary to get people’s attention

“Nobody is interested in solutions if they don’t think there’s a problem. Given that starting point, I believe it is appropriate to have an overrepresentation of factual presentations on how dangerous it [global warming] is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis.”

Enough said......

Polar ice cap? No, since sea ice doesn't really affect sea levels. I'm pretty sure Gore was aware of that fact.
And when did he say that might occur?

Many of our environmental issues stem from our relationship with our soil. Permaculture has shown time and time again that we can effect change to the positive by a simple re-imagining of our social/economic paradigm.

Do not believe but are not sure? Three years running...might be a cycle...might not.

The root cause of the crisis, officials believe, is the odd wind patterns that aren’t cooling the ocean like they normally do. They aren’t certain of what’s behind the lack of cold winds, but they believe the patterns are creating a ripple effect through the food chain. The sea lions, at the top of that chain, are signaling that bigger things may be amiss among the larger marine food web. “There are a lot of puzzles here that we’re trying to put together,” says Nate Mantua, a NOAA climatologist. “We don’t understand it. It’s a mystery.” Link

They're still figuring it out.

Considering he never said that, no. I don't remember it. What he actually said is in my post on page one. Not that any of you care about the TRUTH, clearly. You'd rather listen to Rush spew his nonsense lies. But that's neither here nor there.

Ten Signs Climate Change is Happening

Carbon Dioxide Concentrations in the Atmosphere Are Increasing
The Hottest Decade on Record Keeps Changing

And no, the existence of a snowball or cold feet does not disprove that.

The Rate of Warming Is Unprecedented in at Least 11,000 Years
Arctic Sea Ice Is in a 'Death Spiral'
Greenland Is Losing Ice at an Accelerating Rate
Sea Level Is Rising

Go stick your head in the sand, but make sure it's still deep enough that you don't drown.

I'm embarrassed to be posting in this thread, so have fun in your denial!

in 2006 Al Gore said these words that struck fear into people around the world.

He did? Are you quite sure?

Because Rush Limbaugh, whom indirectly I suspect you source this claim, offers a different take on things:
Algore: We Have Ten Years Left Before Earth Cooks
His title seems to corroborate what yours does - but there's a problem:

Larry David says, "You know, Al is a funny guy, but he's also a very serious guy who believes humans may have only 10 years left to save the planet from turning into a total frying pan."

That's where Mr. Limbaugh got that Al Gore said something - a second hand source, at best.

You are rebutting hearsay.
