In Russian part of the internet they are currently discussing another video from the car passing by at the time after Nemtsov was killed.
avmalgin.livejournal.com...

They claim that another person near Nemtsov's body made "control shot", again video is not clear.

I have already said, that the fact we don't have official footage from numerous CCTV's near the place is very suspicious.

this would be idiocy of the highest order. the culprit might as well rig a giant flashing neon arrow pointing at themself.

Apparently they have them on tape and they are most likely from the Southern parts of Russia...

Nemtsov murder investigators have images of suspected killers’ faces

REN TV announced that the investigative group working on the Nemtsov murder has images of suspected killers’ faces. They were obtained after a thorough study of the killers’ departure from the crime scene. After detecting the ZAZ Chance car which was used by the killers to make their getaway, investigators requested all materials from the Potok surveillance system along their route, and also surveillance video recordings.

Nemtsov on Wikileaks: "Only a crisis could help topple Putin"

"Komsomolskaya Pravda" has published Wikileaks cables regarding the meetings of Russian human rights defenders and representatives of the right opposition with the representatives of the American administration.

These meetings took place at the American Embassy in Moscow.

The cables give a lot of food for thought, and we would like to share some of it with you.

What was the topic of this discussion?

They discussed conditions which would ensure the departure of Vladimir Putin.

Please provide a link to the alleged cables. They would make for an interesting read. If they're real.

I forgot that wikilinks cannot be linked to here. There are several thousand mention of Nemtsov on wikileaks. Most of them appear to be accounts of his speechifying. Just because he grumbles about Russian politics in front of American diplomats doesn't mean he is acting on behalf of CIA!

I agree...it's pretty stupid to use a government fleet vehicle. The only ways I can see it happening are in a set up or the killers didn't worry about it. It's pretty hard to steal a car from government security services. They are supposed to be protecting things, not having their cars stolen.

As I said in a now discontinued thread:

We've seen this movie before: depending on how much international pressure there is, there will be a manhunt culminating in the arrest of three or four "mafiya without code," who, at their show trial, will confess that it was a gambling, drug or prostitution debt affair.

Yes, the playbook has well known endings. I'm putting my money down on Islamists who didn't like his Jewish heritage and recent opinions on the Hebdo killings. A couple from Chechnya can be grabbed and the story fits how crazy those Islamists are like we all know.

They must have overpowered some security guards to get the car I guess. Even stole the guards guns that were then used in the Nemtsov murder! No idea why the Islamists didn't grab the model and put her under a Burka for a few days.

Putin, next time you wanna get a little dirty PM me and we'll walk through it a bit better.

Pretty much, except it will be Chechen knuckle-draggers employed by the company as body guards who had access to the vehicles.

Oh the white Ford was simply an employee that was moonlighting as a taxi driver with his company car.

www.nytimes.com...

It will be fun to follow the details as they trickle out and the story evolves. Apologies to Nemtsov and I certainly don't laugh about his murder.

This could have easily been planned ahead of time. What better way to pin the blame on Russia? Blame them for supplying the car. When it could have been stolen to portray that the Russian government supplied it. They're not that sloppy.

I am leaning more and more each day to the possibility that Western interests committed this assassination to escalate the Putin smear campaign while also giving a false reason for staged protests...oh I must be crazy, the CIA never causes unrest in other countries!

Woa woa, do not bring logic into play amongst the pro-Nato crowd.

This is obviously a hit orchestrated by Putin, all of the "evidence" is neatly packaged almost as if it was done by some kind of intelligence agency that was seeking to discredit Putin.

The history of the CIA is exactly why I find the current narrative unbelievable, literally, if Putin being ex KGB wanted this guy gone, he probably would have simply disappeared him, not shot him openly on the freaking square.

How anyone can trumpet this official story leaves me as mystified as the magic bullet theory.

I'm confused so the gunman when he ran for the vehicle was hailing a cab??? How could he even say that with a straight face. And they allow government employees to take vehicles out to do a taxi service??? Ok no way that's even possible who is doing this investigation inspector gadget??

Well if they know where the vehicle came from and they have pictures of the shooters they should be close to an arrest. So now comes the fun part watching how this gets spun because I have a feeling they know who did it but don't want to make an arrest.

Actually the CIA would have made him disapear wouldn't do it in the middle of moscow. To much risk think about it cameras on every street corner in an area with police on every block. This is the Kremlin no way any foreign government would try it because exposure is guranteed. The FSB would have it within an hour and exposing to the world who did it he was under servalence after all.

The only ones who could pull this off is someone so well connected they can bury the investigation. Even the fact they got away is odd considering the security in that area though using a Russian govt vehicle makes some sense. Since you know they were all over the area. Wonder what he was going to release at the rally because that seems to be the number one reason for the killing it was a last chance before the next morning.

I don`t want to open a new thread for it, maybe a bit off topic (or not, however you want to look at it )...

There seems to have been a small coup taking place in the Ukraine already, we will have to wait what if it leads to something bigger or not...yet...but it gives away Ukrainian government might not be in full control.
