Aledgedly? I mean honestly think about it man... Zombies...the closest thing to zombies anyone has aledgedly created were walking drones, (ALIVE), they weren't the ragged, decrepid, decaying mess they are in the movies.

If you think about it, we are all zombies.

Now that sounds like Resident Evil. Maybe AT&T's the culprit instead of the Umbrella corp.

Nazi zombies, I think that was the main storyline of RTCW, am I right ?, however I doubt it was based on any real information.

How old are you ? ...

It sounds like you might be confusing the movie "shockwaves" with real life. Man, could there ever be a better, more evil monster than underwater nazi zombies.

come on people lets not be cruel to the new guy?

Hi marky, welcome to ATS....ok,i think youre pretty much talking about fiction but theres some very intresting info on the web about the secret experiments the nazis were doing with human prisoners during ww2 in the concentration camps.
Joseph Mengle was known as "The Angel of Death" he was a sadistically cruel and evil nazi who experimented in many fields using live human "patients" ....theres lots of stuff to read about him but you will probably find it very upsetting and disturbing so be carefull if you decide to look him up.

Its possible that the nazis experimented with genetic engineering and perhaps did release human "Zombie" like patients into certain enviroments but not probably in the context in which you posted.

But......heh,you might have some truth in your story...DENY IGNORANCE and see what you can find out...good luck dude.

Regards.

I guess it's quite important we get an idea of what exactly he means by "zombie", I mean as far as lobotomised experimental slaves go it's not that unfeasable, but if he's talking romero then perhaps it's a tad more far fetched. Cmon guys, lets give him the benefeit of the doubt...

C'mon people...lighten up a bit...(and that's skirtin' close to Warn worthy...)

I believe the same idea was used as a basis for a horror movie, but can't remember which one... Likewise, it's been used as an idea for other US government zombie movies also...

The idea of reanimating dead soldiers to fight as shock troops isn't all that insane (at least to the military), and it was pursued by military scientists on all sides I'd imagine. There are even some early experiments on reanimation that may have led to this.

However, there is no documented proof (or even good evidence), that any of them actually succeeded. There is some evidence that it was one of Hitler's suggested projects, but there is nothing to point to it ever being implemented, or it's subsequent success rate.

The project in question is known as "The Litchfield Experiment". Be forewarned though, that any search on this is likely to turn up X-Files episodes (Carter used the name as an homage to the alleged Nazi project in an episode).

In just a little searching, actually stumbled upon an entire genre of Nazi zombie horror movies, such as Zombie Lake, Puppet Master (the one I was thinking of), SS Zombies, etc.

Sorry to sound like I was "mocking" your story Mark. The movie I mentioned just had such a cool story line and was done in such great B movie fashion. This is an interesting thread though, as I could see drugged super soldiers fighting in a tranced state.

Oh good god I actually HAVE that movie. It's REALLY bad, Nazi zombies living on the bottom of a german lake. They not only moved really really slow but were pathetic fighters.

Then one Nazi zombie falls in love with his great granddaughter or some weird stuff, then they fight with flamethrowers and other weird stuff happens.....then I fell asleep. Ed Wood would have been proud.

Stay away from that movie unless you have a lot of duct tape for your head....

This is exactly why I liked it! It was so bad that it was actually worth watching. You have to admit though, the zombies did look pretty cool with thier goggles on.
