Was there an ancient artifact found in Egypt ? or is there one the US cant get to?

If we do have ALICCE , are the rumors true that there's certain artifacts we should be collecting?

After some searching, I am guessing the OP is referring to this:

There was a thread here on ALICCE. It was artifact they found that told them where to search in the galaxy for other artifacts or something like that. I forget. It sounded like the monolith from 2001:A Space Odyssey

According to the Children of Bedlam, it's possibly a reference to Zero Escape, there's a character/artifact "ALLICE" that's the mummy of Amen-Ra.

I really enjoyed reading this thread when it was originally created. The concept is very awesome. But if they had that kind of power why not provide the people with some sort of hope in order to get rid of the corruption suppressing the beautiful change the world could make.

Yes I remember ALICCE from the thread last year, written by he who must not be named.

That thread was mistakenly placed in a different forum than the more appropriate SHORT STORY forum.

This object, found buried in a salt mine in Africa and apparently hundreds of thousands of years old, laid dormant in a lab, while feeding itself energy through wireless transmission of electricity (don't tell Tesla) until it awakened and sent a small group of elites on a galaxy wide scavenger hunt to piece together a massive engine capable of interstellar travel.

Then they used the engine to meet other "branches" of the human race, including a race of humans that somehow evolved into creatures made of light (that sound you just heard was Darwin's head exploding) and a race that harnessed all of it's power by throwing nets over black holes (no,no Mr.Hawking stay in your chair...) in other words, ridiculous nonsense that you could only accept after handcuffing and gagging your suspension of disbelief and throwing it down the garbage chute.

The thread that this was taken from was a brilliant exercise in gullibility and con artistry.

Say what you will about the thread, but even the venerable Zaphod quoted him as being credible.

I reserve my judgement on the whole ALiCCE thing. It would be wonderful and earth-shattering if it was real. If it is indeed real, it's likely in the possession of he who shall not be named and his "RK"ers.

So let me get this straight.
Why dont the corrupt rulers of this world use technology to end corruption?

Because the corrupt rulers of this world would like to stay rulers of this world. Its that simple.
It would be like turkeys voting for christmas.

There isn't really any info on ALICCE in that thread of substance. Can anyone point to a source of info on it? Sounds far-fetched but interesting none the less.
