Its well made suit if its a suit. Then adding what you said to it? That is costly. That would cost a lot of money just to shoot a very vague, yet semi compelling hoax video.

"a suit" is the same ubiquitous response as "Chinese lanterns"

These are hail mary last ditch efforts that armchair skeptics always use when trying to debunk these things.

Im not going to make an opinion as to what the thing is, however im not convinced that whatever it is, has a tail.
I think what we're seeing is its fur being drawn from the water. When fur gets wet it will naturally gather to a point for the water to drain from it, any sudden movement will then give the fur an almost swooshy appearance and I think its that what we're seeing and mistaking for a tail.
Its definately an interesting clip, all the same.

Dudes!! You gotta admit that Mark M is just too cool. I mean no ordinary person would be canoeing around in a swamp by themselves and see even a bear and not let some sound slip out of your mouth.

I have encountered bears etc. at close range while alone and just watch quietly. I just like to watch those kind of things and react as little as possible to extend the experience. It wouldn't occur to me to open my mouth when nobody is there to listen. That's just me. Honestly I tend to react less, the more crazy something gets (car crash, tree fall, etc). It's just a personality thing.

Some people react differently, but I wouldn't use his silence as any kind of indicator of hoax. In fact, it appears that he attempts to put the oars away as quietly as possible (though fails somewhat since a canoe is basically a sounding board).

Or whoever was in the suit stood on a stick and it whipped up out of the water.

You have a point about the Youtube channel. I would just put it on my own channel and get all the hits myself. Overnight stardom.

Ironically, I have never seen one video that wasn't debunked. Just saying.

Or perhaps debunked in a way that sits well within your belief system.

I don't know why people keep saying it was a stick...the thing clearly bends and whips in a flexible way.

Very possible also, as well as the snake arse bite theory, again very possible.
One thing ive learned from ATS is we cant rule anything out.

After I watched it the first time I was very intrigued. I have seen it a few more times and Im convinced its fake now.

Picture this when watching it again. A man wearing a mesh ghillie suit made of synthetic fiber. They weigh next to nothing and look just like this. When I watch it with the preconception of a man in a ghillie, it doesnt strike me as anything else. Whereas I thought ape before.

Matt M.....
Why wouldnt he post his second name?

Unless it is mr. Moneymaker, i cant think of any other reason.
For annonymity? Dont think so..

Another thing, when it stands up look at the size of its back its huge.
Also when it brushes off the tree, look at how much the tree moves. Quite a bit, some strength there.

I know one thing....It's a Guy or a girl in a dark ape suit, in fact it could be a ill fitting Armani suit for all we know. Another crap video for the deluded to fall for... Bigfoot is a Myth and so are deep water diving 12 foot Gator battling Skunk apes for Christ sake.
