That reply in no way answered my question...

Which was expected!

Until you've been spat on & beaten for this perceived generalisation you haven't had it worse...
No matter how much you claim otherwise!

You're not a victim of anything...
You just have a different opinion to your accuser!

Did you really just say that gun owners have it worse in American that Muslims do?!

Are you serious?

~Tenth

I agree. When was the last time an American politician tried to pass a law restricting Islam? WHen was the last time the 2nd Amendment wasn't under direct attack from that witch Dianne Feinstein and her band of buffoons?

Dunno why some people are ignoring 70 years of gun control beginning with the 1934 NFA.

That banned machine guns, and other regulations for what a few were doing.

That was already against the law.

They have an epic double standard.

"Guns give power to cowards" ... true but it also empowers the old and the weak who could not defend themselves otherwise against someone who is younger, stronger and/or armed.

Here goes that "common sense" thing again about gun ownership though. It's been done my friend - we took guns away from violent felons, automatic weapons out of the hands of nearly everyone, many cities and states have outright bans on ALL guns. People are still getting shot even where they've outlawed them.

When common sense has already been used what's left to try? What bothers me is that it makes it sounds as if nothing at all has been done to curb guns getting in to the wrong hands. Despite severe penalties guns do fall in to the wrong hands all the time. More gun legislation will not stop it.

The only option left once the genie is out of the bottle is for the law-abiding to have adequate means of protection for themselves and their families.

We both abhor violence, it's the means to achieving the ends that we differ on I suppose.

The disconnect he has seems to be that in order to justify his role as a hollywood action star he has reduced his level of influence in his own mind to his viewers as a simple mental release from watching his films. This is just not true and the recent surge of the pen is mighter than the sword view being portrayed is enough for most to realize that his role in these films goes far beyond a release and fuels a culture of people that are getting more from his films that just a release of emotions. In short he is lying to himself.

How is saying that America has a gun culture the same as you thinking that all Muslims are terrorists? Yours is bigotry/xenophobia, Tenths is an observation.

And that's why I say it's been piss poor. I don't disagree that most gun laws only hurt law abiding citizens, that's very much true.

I would think there would be a way to improve things though no? I'm not sure if they closed that whole gun show loophole, but that seems like a big one.

It would help if the Fed wasn't gun running to Mexico either I suppose. I'm not saying I have the answer, I just think you're not being represented correctly on the National stage, much like almost every other group these days.

Guns give power to cowards...

Now that I can agree with 100%.
It also makes a great equalizer for women, the old and the infirm.
I'll take my chances with the cowards rather than remove any means of others from protecting themselves.

A majority of Gun users wouldn't have the wherewithal or guts to strangle, stab, bludgeon or batter someone to death...

Perhaps where you are but here in the US every gun owner I know would only fire a gun in life-or-death circumstances and would do whatever it takes to stop a threat even if they didn't have a gun. Having a gun doesn't change one's values, at least not socially responsible people.

But to deny a Gun culture is laughable.

Calling it a culture is laughable. It doesn't exist. Pray tell what particular set of values do all these gun owners share in common?
