How does killing those who "fight against Allah" in a Crusade translate to convert or die?

You don't understand the Quran in the slightest.

Good day!

Good day!
Do they mention the Crusade in those verses? No. They simply state "The enemies of Allah". Your "crusade" interpretation is your own, the text is what the text is. And this what the terrorists are doing. I understand you're a "moderate" muslim who doesn't engage in terrorism. You interpret the Quran differently, others like these sickos take it at face value. "Kill the enemies of Allah? You got it!"

Don't get me wrong, I dislike ALL religion, but I have a particular distaste for Islam.

Sorry... Crusade-like!!!

Your interpretation of "enemies of Allah" is also "your own" & that's what I question.

I don't see how anyone could misinterpret "The Enemies of Allah". Is it anyone who does not follow Allah. Really that simple. Just as in the Bible, the "Enemies of God" were anyone who was not Christian.

Because there is such a thing called context.

Would you kindly go explain that to the terrorists, then?

Infact anyone can say who's the enemy of Allah and who's not. I could declare that Mcdonalds is the enemy of Allah just because they provide pork which isn't permissible in Islam. This is where the terrorists twist it up to suite their agenda. They could declare a fellow Muslim an enemy of Allah simply for disagreeing with their way of interpreting the Quran which btw something is something that has happened several times.

The first actual Jihad in Islam's history was against these sort of nutcases. They were called the Khawarij at the time.

I wonder how many more decades it's going to take before people realize that psychopaths will use any excuse/guise that suits their agenda to justify their actions ?

Every psychopath has their own personal excuse(s) as to why they feel they must do what they do.

The icing on the cake is when they're able to rally together a whole group of fellow psychopaths to join in on their nefarious endeavours... and then high-five each other after a 'job well done'.

Another horror from boko haram.
The problem is Silo-most of these jihadis are uneducated angry young savages run by people with political agendas.
The people who run them make millions from death and are not guided by god,but by delusions of grandeur and money.

With Islamic extremists today-We are facing a sickness of the mind-one that can spread far and wide as we have seen over the last 15 years at least.
A virus within a virus.

But how do we kill such a disease?
I wish I knew the answer.

Nice to talk to you again Silo,I only wish it was about a more positive subject matter and in happier times.
I hope you are well.

Exactly. Why aren't moderate Muslims standing up and declaring Jihad against these radicals?

And what give you the right to insult the religion of 1.7r billions people for the actions of a few radicals?I guess by your standard all catholics are pedophiles, all hindus are rapists etc...

Africa as a continent need an anti-terrorist unit that will deal with the likes of boko haram,AQMI ...It is sad that Nigeria has to go to something as horrific as this...

When this happens daily and or weekly which group is causing it?

Muslims.....

Muslims are the problem.

If there are so few radicals, tbe regular folks should have no problem stopping them right?

Oh wait it has been going on for decades, I guess most muslims dont have a problem with this then do they.

Of course, I know the anyone can interpret things differently, I was speaking to the mindset of terrorists, and I should have clarified. My point is the radical interpretation seems to be the most literal. I'm not trying to say the whole Quran is a handbook for evil, just that people say the Quran doesn't condone violence or terrorism when it really does if someone interprets it that way, just as the Bible promotes violence to those who interpret it at face value.

My problem is that people are acting on this literal interpretation and people of the same religion don't seem to be standing up against it. Sure there are pockets of resistance among the Kurds, certain Iraqis, etc, but if it really is as insignificant a percentage of muslims who are radicals or terrorists, surely it would be quite easy to stamp out these radicals and their blasphemous interpretations. But yet, it hasn't been done. A majority of muslims sit quietly by while this goes on, and that has to change.

The U.S. and Western powers going in and stomping on these terrorists isn't solving anything. The solution has to come from INSIDE the religion.

That's much more realistic imo.

& a great point.

The illiterate will have to rely on others to do right by them.

But only one needs an agenda to indoctrinate masses.

Considering it's a tribal thing, especially in Nigeria, it would be down to leadership to educate the rest...

In such places one can make others believe they are being given revised Prophecy or a change of Godly strategy...
Without anyone having to pick up a Quran.

Muhammad is the final Prophet to us...
But the Quran also states that others will prophecise or have the ability to abrogate (reconsider) a Verse...

Is there violence in the Quran?

Only in self defence!

Could that be interpreted differently?

I don't see why not!

But I stand by everything else I've said as well...

In the sense that there are always going to be other factors besides "it's a religious thing".

Bs allah and momo both demand that after offering islam the deniers are to be killed, want me to quote it for you?

Thats right I have been reading the book, I can attest first hand you are full of it.

It flat out says to offer them islam, then kill those who refuse...point blank that is what it says.

Either read the book and be honest, unlike momo who demands you lie to the infadel to achieve the goal, or stfu.

I will detstroy youre bs, with your own book.

Say I wont.....plz say I wont.

so rather than bikker about what WE think about what the Koran says..I decided to do a little reading and thinking. .....

so here we have this nutcase boko haram running around with a heavily armed force that may number up to 9000, most reports say approx 5000 or less. he is fighting the Nigerian armed force and conducts cross boarder raids into Cameroon and chad. the Nigerian armed forces numbers about 200,000 and Cameroon army is apprx 10,000 (not including naval ect) Numbers would seem to be on the govt forces side......so the question is why has boko haram been so successful in its attacks and just the fact that it is still around? is it sympathy from the population or lack of will from the govt?

apprx a little less than half of Nigerian states are under sharia law, which basically is the entire northern half of the country..this is where haram forces camp out.....very mountainous and the population is Islamic....but this is where he conducts most of his raids, killing Muslim and Christians alike, or anyone else he wants. the groups "official " title is "People Committed to the Prophet's Teachings for Propagation and Jihad". It seeks the establishment of an Islamic state in Nigeria, and opposes the Westernising of Nigerian society. he uses the Koran as justification to kill all he sees fit to kill. and all these other terror groups use the Koran as justification to kill people that don't believe like they do. so I don't believe like you do, well welcome to the world.

I guess the point to my rambling.. if a population can't or won't rise up to stop a demon that hides behind what amounts to their own beliefs and uses it as justification to kill in the name of those beliefs what hope is there? (you could take that statement and put it on a lot of situations.)

I didn't want to single out a specific group but I must. until the "non radical" Muslim/Islamic culture or people decide to stand up and say 'brother, enough is enough', there is no hope. (we could also talk all day about the west and sticking their nose into things they shouldn't, but that's a whole nother thread)
