This Idea has been brought up by others in the past. Who IMO want to play both sides of the fence. They want to believe that God exist, but also
want to believe the universe is billions of years old. Maybe because they want to be part of the majority and not the minority. Since when in history
has the majority been right?
There are problems with this theory. Here's why. Lets just say that each day of creation consisted of 500,000 million years, and each night 500,000
million years. A normal day consist of 12 hours in the day and 12 hours in the night So a total day of creation would equal one billion years. This
theory might hold, that is until you get to the third day of creation when all the plants/herbs were created. All the plants/trees would have died off
because the night would last for 500,000 million years.
For a more indepth breakdown of this theory and why it does not fit with the bible then click this link below(adam when?) and read pages 11-12.
