I miss those days....

Puterman, Muzzy, alysha.angel, True American....all day long looking at the graphs and trying to recognize a pattern.

It'll hopefully come back once the political noise has gone quiet.

Actually, puterman has his own site, I believe now, about quakes.

I miss them all too.

Much to the surprise of Hawaii geologists, Kilauea is at it again. Though in a more "traditional" manner than the big deal a couple of years ago. It was expected that it would be a long time before Halemaumau would see lava again.

The vog is back. Bummer.

The Icelandic Met Office has just issued the following warning: “An eruption has started in Fagradalsfjall.”

A meteorolgist has confirmed this with mbl.is.

Redness in the sky over Fagradalsfjall can be detected from a streaming video camera.

Fagradalsfjall mountain is on the Reykjanes peninsula, Southwest Iceland.

Not really, but I think you knew that. This volcano though is in an area that hasn't had any volcanic activity in 800 years give or take a few years.

Mauna Loa continues to show eruption potential.

An earthquake swarm was detected this week on the northwest flank of Mauna Loa. Scientists counted 172 earthquakes in the area from March 29 to 31 about 3.5 to 5 miles beneath the surface. Scientists noticed a change in tilt coinciding with the event.
