I wonder about those that attempt to de-emphasis that these are true Middle-Eastern terrorists. Why do that? It has been said on the news that there are indeed reports of Police raids in Lakemba. So they aren't assuming wrong, at this point anyway.

Police arresting man who had a handgun 200 metres away from the cafe. It is unknown is the event is related.

The actions of our governments and our enemies do not represent the actions of people underneath them.

Innocent people shouldn't have to put up with this #, just because our governments invade foreign lands and engage in questionable behaviour.

Doesn't surprise me at all.

I really hope and pray that nothing comes from all of this but i'm now remembering how many friends I have that work in the city - some pretty close to Martin place too.

Working in Liverpool doesn't seem like a blessing most days but I guess it does have some positives.
