Yes like herbal teas. Your brain may be producing too much adrenocorticotropin, a stress hormone that can wake you so if it's over producing it could lead a restless night.

ah, I was merely remarking upon the grammar in your sentence : "we was really excited to see the house"

You remind me of myself I usually do the correcting but not on here. There I corrected my grammatical error :-)

I wish I could replay some of my dreams.

Maybe it was something like a warning so no one got bit by the black widow, may not even technically been a dream. It could have been something your or your husbands spirit guide told you.

I don't doubt you, When you're dreaming you have a lot more access to subconscious information. The subconscious is way more powerful than the conscious mind so it knows things you can't even comprehend. Perhaps it heard the minuscule sound of the scuttles under the pillow, or maybe it perceived the microscopic footprints or traces of the spiders trail to your bed, etc. Your conscious mind is like a kindergartner's calculator and your subconscious is essentially a supercomputer. You ever wonder why you have this extremely complicated and elaborate dreams that seem like they would make a really good novel? That's the genius that resides in your mind.

True that! but I've tried herbal teas and everything and when I got that bad night, it just doesn't matter what herbs I took or what breathing exercises I have tried... it's just the combination of xanax and/or zolpidem that makes me fall asleep.

But I am trying to avoid that by going to sleep really late so I am so exhausted and grateful I am finally going to bed that I fall asleep successfully. This has a drawback though. I have to get up early and then I am always tired, sleepy and I can't concentrate well.

We are drifting off topic. I don't want to spoil Char-lee's thread. You can PM me, if you have some secret herbal remedies up your sleeve.

I am a firm believer in precognitive dreams, and intuition. I have had some dreams that were spot on, and many intuitive experiences that were uncanny. As well as a few that were a bit creepy. We are more than the sum of our parts.

Exactly like a novel, I have saved outlines of many in case I should someday write those books! Many times I cannot remember if a complicated story dream was a dream, or movie I saw or a book I read.

This spider thing was distinctly different, a handful of past dreams have been. This one was unique to me though in every way.

I remember you posting that before, very profound. The thing is I don't think anyone in this world has ever cared about me enough to warn me of anything. I did lose all 4 of my Grandparents pretty early my father when I was 7, my Brother when I was 36. But I don't think any of them ever really cared about me even though i loved them all greatly.

Perspectives change. Maybe they are making up for that love? I don't really know. I do know we all have family passed on. How many ancestors are there in our family line? How far back do they go? Where are they all now?

Some think they meet us in dreams as guides or 'friends' we don't recognize.

Some think they are… 'around', watching over us.

Some think they talk to us while we sleep because we're easier to reach.

I am not being mean at all. Simply critical of a remarkable claim. One of which gets accepted far to often on these boards. It is prudent not to get carried away with such fanciful thoughts. They can lead one down a very sad path. One poorly understood belief turns into more and more.

Ridicule me all you like and question my story but here it is. Waaaaay back in or about 1974 or so I had a vivid dream in colour one night. It involved a red sports car hitting a small Inn/Restaurant combo at the only place to go in our neighbourhood.
So I am about 14 years old and male and I really make an effort to tell anyone and everyone about this accident.
I am risking it all doing this as my male ego should be saying shut the heck up and don't be a fool! My mom and dad listened to my tale and nodded like .....well people that nod:-)
Next day at school I tell all my buddies about this dream and I know at this time I am risking rejection from our group and still I Yapped on and on about this.

About a week later this group of friends and myself are walking to the hot corner ( one KFC and a bowling alley for fun) on dismal Friday night looking for something to do.

I'll be damned if there was not flashing lights going like mad bees and yes indeed folks there was a red sports car that collided with the Inn/Restaurant just like in my dream.
I will never forget all my Buddies saying Holy Cow at the same time and then just staring at me.

I was too shocked myself even to acknowledge the fact I was correct at that time, I just stood there and watched a picture from my dream in colour and almost perfect as how I described it.

I have posted this story before but I cannot find it now for the life of me as it is tucked away in somebody's thread.
As far as the OP's story goes I believe it 100% and I will say this I have never had a dream before or since that night that I had the most persistent urge to share with others.
Rip me a new one but above is the truth.

I don't have prophetic dreams really at all, but I can remember em good when I wake up. In fact, I love remembering my dreams when I wake up bcaus they're so gawda** fun!! The great thing about dreams is you completely forget your RL worries while keeping some of what/who you're and as well having all of the restrictions in RL pulled away so that all the adventure you could want is available. I find that instead of dreams being a only a joyride, they produce a lot of thinking or even insight into myself and things in the world.

Closest thing I can ever recall to have a prophetic dream is a dream I had a couple days before a windstorm. One of our trees in my dream blew down and it happened a few days later when the storm hit. Now I don't consider this prophetic because I was already aware of the storm and my mind was thusly "primed" to dream about it.

The reason I think people are skeptical, including myself, is because dreams are so random and if you start thinking they're all prophetic then you might start acting crazy. Dreams are all over the place and if you treat them as real then you'll be all over the place too. Not everyting is all over the palce though. I see Leslie Nielson in my dreams a lot strangely. I also particular people I knew long ago consistently showing up.

My Spirit guide is no one from this current life cycle, I'm pretty sure he was my Father in my last life. This could be the same for you too, someone from a past life who has your back.

My spirit guide has saved me from falling down a cement staircase, saved me from getting hit by a car numerous times & other major injuries that should have happened. ((like when you are pretty much falling over but some how one leg suddenly becomes rock heavy and you balance back out and don't crack your head open))

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Think of the probability of some one having a dream come true. It seems like a very rare occurance. And it is.

Just because it seems like it is a rare occurrence, doesn't mean it actually is. How many people keep these things a secret in fear of being locked up in an asylum?

This does not mean that you are an xman.

Really now, was that called for? Unnecessary rudeness.

If you spend all your time searching for evidence of the supernatural, everything starts looking like evidence for the supernatural.

That is true but when you start seeing everything as impossible, everything starts seeming impossible. The supernatural does exist.

Read some science books. They're only boring until you understand what they are saying.

Again with the unnecessary rudeness. I know many scientists who believe in the supernatural, should they just stick to reading science books?

If you are so close minded, I don't why you came into this thread other than to be mean. If there is another reason than I do apologize but it does seem like you are only interested in being mean and shooting down the OP

Who mentioned spending all their time searching for the supernatural? Your putting words into peoples posts and that is not conducive to a thread in my opinion.
The OP's story rings true because it happened and it was most important to share the information with her husband. Just like my search for the supernatural was certainly not that, I had to tell people and don't ask my why but I felt it was most important.
Actually way back then in my case our school library was almost all religious books and some Lassie classics. There was no information available on the supernatural at all in the Library and the TV was off till the old man got home and put on the news.
Nobody is searching for something, when it just happens to plop in your lap you deal with it as best you can.......I hope one day you have a dream that disturbs you and it just happens to occur after the fact.

You never know,
Regards, Iwinder

Thank you and I feel very strongly you have told yours just as it happened also.
It is a funny thing really, my life has been very difficult for many reasons one big one being I can't lie without extreme guilt and eventually I always have to go back and admit my lie... It causes many problems in my life but I was either born this way or it was because my Mother was always untruthful even about little things so maybe I was so repulsed by that, that I developed this thing. My husband is the only person I know who both admires my honesty and puts up with it and I know sometimes it can be difficult.

I don't like posting in threads so late, but I was just having this conversation with my mom as I feel like over the last 2 years, I have been having more frequent warning dreams, or dreams that come true.

Two nights ago, I had an odd dream that I was in the health food store, freaking out because I HAD to find a specific type of whole milk for my son.

Last night I was googling "stomach flu frequency" because my middle son seems to not only suffer from IBS, but he also has the stomach flu ALL THE TIME. I came across a single article about how there are components in unprocessed whole milk that aid in gastro issues. Very odd that the night before I had this dream. And I would have scoffed at the article previously because I am sorta anti-cows milk. But it's worth looking into now.

When my now-ex was running our business and life into the ground, I often had dreams that later came to fruition. He often lied and for whatever reason, I would have dreams before things would happen about whatever subject he was lying about and I would later find out the truth. It was really bizzare. I had a dream one night that he cheated on me, and a week later, he "came clean" about his infidelity. I have 3 boys and always had dreams about boys and knew they were boys. I even had a dream about my youngest who was expected to have dark hair and a dark complexion.... I had a dream about this adorable little ginger toddler running and laughing. He was born with red hair and blue eyes.
It really makes me question my beliefs and our God/maker and time traveling and everything!! What could possibly explain these occurrences. I have often had dreams about random people and I would see them out of the blue the following day.
Makes me think!

I have had dreams which I would consider to have been precognitive.
One involved me witnessing a car crash on my way back home from work.

The next day on my way back home from work,I saw the same crash from my dream-and I did the same as in the dream.
Jumped out of the car and knocked on the window of the car that had hit a truck and landed in a ditch.
I asked them if they were OK,and as I was doing that I was thinking-"this is what I did in my dream last night."
Everyone was OK thankfully-but it freaked the heck outta me.

Maybe it was a weird coincidence, but I don't know-We are the proud owners of the most advanced quantuum computers for light years in any direction(our brains),and dreams may be more than we know.

There was a study done on dream telepathy done years back which seemed to connect REM sleep to telepathic abilities that you may find interesting:
