This proves to me that when we dream we can and sometimes do, see reality but more than we can see in life.

One night I woke up very scared and called out to my husband who woke up next to me and I told him "there is a black widow under your pillow". He laughed and said, "you are dreaming, go back to sleep". Well I was not even wholly awake and I did fall back to sleep instantly but when I woke up the next day it came immediately to my mind and I still felt afraid and sure there was a black widow under my husbands pillow.

Still I did our usual routine and beyond mentioning it once and having him laugh again, I didn't say anymore. A little background, we lived in a multi million dollar home as caretakers, the bedroom was about 1000 sq ft. I had never seen a spider of any kind not in or outside of the house nor anywhere in the area we lived for 4 years except at the park there was ground spiders that ran around in the grass.

So I went to make the bed and still scared I lifted his pillow and there was a black widow spider under it. A few days before we had two new nightstands delivered and the men brought them upstairs, so we thought to look under them and found an egg sac under one.

I can't see how this can be explained away other then that I actually was aware of what crawled under my husbands pillow as I slept.

Would add I am thinking of it now because my sister sent an email about spiders that brought back the memory.

ignore rude remarks..

I find it pretty interesting. But I am not quite sure whether this one occasion is enough to back up the theory though.
Have you ever had at least one more dream that maybe might have come true?

Dreams have always been a mystery...& I kinda miss them, because I don't have dreams (in the last year or two), and if I do I only have about one dream a month. Maybe it's the sleeping medication, because I started taking pills since I had problems falling asleep, but never mind.

If we think very, very broadly, then... our brains are actually limitless evergy processors and are capable of anything really...

Ignore the other poster who had nothing positive to contribute.

That's crazy about your dream. I hate spiders but for some reason I seem to have a bit of a spider sense, I'll suddenly feel like there is a spider close by & there is usually one in the room. My fiance and I have a creek going through our backyard so unfortunately we gets insects & spiders in our place. (YAY for Raid)

I've only had two dreams that seemed to come true. I was a teenager for both times and they were close together. The first dream was of this volcano erupting & devastation ensued. When I woke up the next morning I just thought it was an odd dream but the day after that a volcano did erupt & caused mass devastation. The other one took place a week later and it was of a crazy train accident. Two days later two trains crashed in...I think it was Japan or Spain. ((This is more than 10yrs ago so I can't recall where the events actually happened)

Having two dreams like that close together had me really freaked out but my dreams went back to be normal. Insanely vivid (full colour, full sound & all senses work) dreams a couple times a night.

Or someones looking out for you.

I heard a voice tell me to run once when I was about to get run over by semi tractor trailer. I'm glad I was awake at the time. it wasn't me.

Has this kind of warning or 'protection' ever occurred before?

I find the odds of there being the spider and being exactly where my half waking dreaming mind saw it just really hard to dismiss.
I don't remember any dreams like this before. I have had dreams that seem very prophetic but they are huge things like disasters and I never tried to see if they could have come true. I have dreamed of places I had not been and then gone there and recognized them.

The biggest was when I was 11, my Mother was looking for a place to move and there was a house for rent in a little town some miles away. She made an appointment to see it the next day. That night I dreamed of a very unique house with mostly glass around it, on a really strong sloped hill, I dreamed we lived there and there was a fire, we all ran down the hill in the middle of the night as the house burned and there was a log, a big log there. Some of us were still in the house but I didn't know who.

I told my Mother about the dream it was really scary. The next day we were really excited to see the house because it was in a really pretty area, but when I saw it I nearly passed out. As my Family looked at and loved the house I went out back and down the hill and there was the log. I told my Mother it was the house in my dream and she believed me and did not rent it.

This is how i dream also, my husband used to be stunned when i would tell him a dream i had, he dreams in Bk n Wt and no details at all. My dreams are completly like real life but a few in my life were beyond even that and they can never be forgotten.

When I was young until a very painful time in my life in my 30's I could replay my dreams the same or next night, if I like part i could replay that or enhance parts that made the dream better.

I remember you posting that before, very profound. The thing is I don't think anyone in this world has ever cared about me enough to warn me of anything. I did lose all 4 of my Grandparents pretty early my father when I was 7, my Brother when I was 36. But I don't think any of them ever really cared about me even though i loved them all greatly.

ah! so you had more than just one it seems! well, that's great...hopefully, you can have one today so we can elaborate on it tomorrow

What do you remember, besides seeing that spider and your spouse saying "you're dreaming, go back to sleep"...?
anything unusual ...? and how did you see that spider beneath the pillow? ... like it's visually impossible right, so it must have been something odd, can you describe it?

btw, you gotta be from South London...am I right?

I don't know you well enough to be rude

But, in this life, few things other than math (most of the time) can be "proven".

Anytime someone says "I've got PROOF!" that just tells me they're a believer. They've swallowed the pill.

It is instances/coincidences like these that set these supernatural ideas in peoples heads. Think of the probability of some one having a dream come true. It seems like a very rare occurance. And it is. But we know that rare occurrences happen all the time. This does not mean that you are an xman. This does not mean that your dreams are now reliable ways of predicting the future. It simply means you are the only witness to a rare natural event. You might even be making this story up. Ive seen you say some pretty silly stuff on the boards.

If you spend all your time searching for evidence of the supernatural, everything starts looking like evidence for the supernatural.

Read some science books. They're only boring until you understand what they are saying.

Actually the strange thing is other than feeling terrified when I called out to my husband "there's a black widow under your pillow". I didn't remember having a dream at all, and it is really really unusual for me to just go back to sleep after waking, let alone feeling so terrified as I did. Yet that is what I did.

No I was living in Oregon at the time on the coast.

It is possible to be rude to strangers also, maybe you misunderstand what rudeness is?

Or something profound happened to them to force their belief. Sometimes people find themselves unable to to not believe what they experience. Unfortunately there are so many liars in the world people cannot believe others experiences happened no matter how many witnesses involved.

My son is a soldier and he never believed in anything but he had an old officer tell him about being an unbeliever also of any phenomenon but he saw an angelic humanoid who helped him when he was in trouble in a battle and it was real. My son believed him because he was such a down to earth honest individual.

yeah, so maybe you didn't have a dream on that night... but that's even more terrifying

ah, I was merely remarking upon the grammar in your sentence : "we was really excited to see the house"
I know some guys from south London who use that!

Maybe I have said some things you find silly...I am an extremely honest person and open enough not to care whether someone finds my thoughts, ideas or experiences as it may be "silly".

I have a degree in science and a love of science, I have read enough thousands of books that most people would be stunned by the number on every subject no subject bores me.
Star for your participation even if you clearly judgmental and unkind toward people you have no knowledge of.
