that crap smells horrendous, just the smell of the smoke is enough to give me a head ache for hours. Surprisingly I tried to smoke a cigarette once and never again will I attempt something that stupid.

I seriously don't know how people can smoke that crap. I had a headache for days along with a sore throat. No one should be subjected to those foul smells and toxic fumes.

It makes me sick too. But I don't think it should be banned.

I'm sure there's things you do that annoy others (and they may want them banned). Same for all of us, whatever we do, someone wants it to be stopped. But when you view it from the other person's point of view you realize it's a freedom too and it's something they don't want to lose...

While you are at it, you should look into banning cologne and perfume. That crap smell horrendous and gives me a headache for hours. Might as well ban gasoline, garbage trucks, all motor vehicles, public toilets, or anything else that smells bad.

No one should be subjected to those foul smells and toxic fumes right?

Meh, if people want to smoke let them smoke.
Designated outdoor areas seem to be enough to avoid it when I want to.

Lol ok but car fumes and such are just fine eh?.

A woman attempted to berate me while I was waiting for a bus the other day saying " You are giving me cancer with the 2nd hand smoke" I laughed and told her "would you either want to be in an enclosed space with 100 smokers or one car running" she didn't get it so I just continued smoking.

#e we have enough laws banning us smokers from everywhere and you want it banned in public?
Pfft...

I think people need to mind their own business and quit telling people how to live their lives.

Should people be ticketed for not brushing their teeth? Farting? I hate the smell of Indian food, lets ban that!

ETA: Defecating smells bad ass well, all public restrooms should also be boarded up. Can't have people spewing smelly bio hazardous waste in public.

And then there's people who don't seem to bathe, that smell of sewage that that hits you randomly in some parts of major cities, wet dogs, cooked fish, vinegar, etc. What a country.

You sure you don't mean a boozy hangover by any chance? You should try Star cigarettes, they'll give you Stars in your eyes,

I know that you smokers where going to bring up the whole "well car fumes are just as worse!" argument.

But car, buses and trucks, and airplanes do actually serve a useful purpose aka transportation. They take people to their jobs, and to the hospitals and to school.

What is the purpose of smoking other than fulfilling your nicotine addiction and exhaling toxic carcinogenic fumes?

Do you even realize how many toxins, carcinogens, pollutants you inhale, drink, eat, absorb on a daily basis mostly from things in your home that are deemed safe?

You like everybody else is probably saturated in chemicals. I think people can absorb toxins in plastic just from holding it. Or drinking water. And food.

What useful purpose does a toxic environment serve? And I don't smoke, the smell makes me sick but it's their right to smoke if they want to.

There is a guy at work that smells bad.
I think we should ban him too.

It is your right to smoke but it's not your right to fill the air with already more pollution. Smokers are not only affecting themselves but also everyone around them.

Why should children cover their mouths whenever they walk past a smoker? Why not confine smoking to ones home or apartment where smokers can bask in the smell of burning chemicals if they want to? It's not fair.

It's a perfectly reasonable law. Smokers are so concerned with their rights but what about the rights of everyone around them that chooses not to smoke?

Chewing Gum? little baby in a buggy, little hands reach out to funny thing stuck to pavement, funny thing lifted up by little hands and heads for little mouth. There is no law against chewing gum in public?

I would say it keeps people level, you don't want to deal with my old man if he can't have his smokes.
Maybe not as useful as a transportation but still a purpose.

And would you want to ban all smoking period? Or just smoking of cigs?

Anyone aware hospitals and other places are now not hiring smokers?

You could be a degreed medical professional and won't even get the interview because that's the first thing the scheduler asks pre-interview.
